Lurker stepping in. I've been running with a three way religion for my campaigns for a few years now, and think it might add something to the debate. First, I have to make two things clear. One, the gods walk the earth. You can pimp slap one if you are feeling lucky/suicidal. Secondly, mortals are m...

Well, if they have a bit of scratch, then tigh-na-mara is an awesome place to blow a weekend. If not, then a motel+beach routine I suppose

For how long a period? If you only want to vacation there, then it's packed with resorts and hotels, of varying cost. If you want to live there, live in the outlying areas and it's cheap as fuck. Live in town... not so cheap

Parksville. Little town with awesome beaches and a strong tourist industry. It's an awesome place once you leave the main drag in town. Really laid back people, nice weather all the time, plenty of nature around, just a great place to live. Not much to do there though, which is fine for me, I have t...

True, but I'm biased, like I said. I'm a small town guy. It's actually twenty minutes north of Nanaimo that I love.

Gaming is actually pretty strong here, what with all the nerds of the island living down here. Cause it's the only city on said island that has nerd-friendly careers. But yeah, it's pretty fun. I'm more of a small town guy myself though

Victoria isn't, about an hour and a half north is. But I'm biased. Wife says kick-ass, and I'll admit to a little excitement myself. As far as larp goes, wod sucks because there is little to no actual combat, just politics. All politics and no play makes people into assholes. Send me a message and I...

It really is too bad you live in Australia, or I could suggest a few places. Are there any larp groups in the area and are you nerd enough to handle going to one? They tend to attract the type of people who are more open-minded and awesome. Additionally, my wife says she'd be down with being a pen-p...

I don't know if they are native, but the island sounds like their kind of climate, especially in the southeast parts of said island. It's warm (Victoria has the highest homeless population in Canada for this reason) it's typically dry in summer and there are a great deal of places for them to hide o...

As for the commissar theory, I did something similar with risk. But it wasn't the dice I blamed, oh no, it was the soldiers. And if I was soundly defeated a la 300, I would then bite the head off a plastic soldier. Little bastards didn't work hard enough.

Now, I know this is going to give me a net loss of den coolness factor, but I have to pipe up. The Cataclysm in DL was caused because the church was not in fact good, unless you count magical Nazi Germany good. Just before the gods dropped a big fucking rock on a lot of innocents to deal with some s...

That would depend. Is it a zombie-pet deal that follows you around and eats your enemies' brains on command, or a ghoul zombie-skin mask?

Actually, doing some kendo myself, I can assure you that the two are remarkably similar. The Katana is a two handed, curved sword made with the idea that you would not be carrying a shield (or peasant) in the other hand, and so focuses on killing another Katana-wielding (and most likely samurai) opp...

I'm good, thanks. And I really appreciate the time you put into this, I may use it for some of my other games. That said, this is DnD. So I suggest a few tweaks. Diagnose is already in the game, so it should be replaced with something else. How about: Potion Mastery [ex]: The Apothecary gains brew p...

3.5 No Ac

How would I adjucate this? I'd like to remove it from the game, use a save instead, and make all ac boosters into DR. Is that possible, and how would it be done? Thanks for any help, what I have now is that: Ac is gone. (Duh) Reflex(?) is your new not got hit stat Any armor is DR But I think that At...

Hi. I'm also new, but I've been lurking for a while. So welcome. Now hopefully someone up the ladder will say hi, and eventually all the world will become a place of love and understanding.

Or everyone will tell me to suck a barrel of cocks. Either or is good.

Alright, thanks for the clarification. It looked to me like he could do it whenever, which I figured meant combat became the speedened moving, punctuated by failed attacks. But if there is a hard limit, it makes waaaay more sense.

Game on

But his slide budget is "at any time" If this ability were to be made not immediately game breaking, he can't be able to say "the enemy draws breath? I shift. Starts casting? I shift. Fireball is thirty feet away? I shift. Twenty five feet away? I shift. And so on. Perhaps make it rew...
