You know that you're in crap waaaay over your head when you start quoting imaginary characters to sound smart and wise.

Seriously, Yoda? He's as deep as a river on Tatooine, if I'm to use a SW themed metaphor. He was too dumb/lazy to learn the very language he was speaking in...

Heh. I come back from the hospital, and this thread is still dead. Probably the same happened with Shadowrun. Shame, but I have an ongoing MtA campaign to keep me up and running.

That pic looks like a Borderlands style ripoff to me... And besides, I'm wondering about the story a lot. Got a little into Battletech, because certain people keep bombing me with info on it. And they're as much annoyed by CGL as I am about Shadowrun. :P

Woah. I've just got my eyes on the MilSpecTech e-book today. And after the first three vehicles I've noticed one can start the game with a frakkin' TANK! For the price of a sports car. Is Pink Mohawk being promoted to the Deafult Shadowrun Theme?

The DnD Adventures were pretty nice. A good set of small encounters and challenges to steal for your games. :)

I have a question. The DM cheated as a player, right? Then why in the nine hells do you even play with him?

I like lurking here, and posting my own silly opinions from time to time. TGD users make me laugh, and they use proper grammar, spelling and language*. Even when they're posting obscene multi-layered insults. That's what I didn't see on the SR4 boards anymore, and with both games i took part in goin...

I'd drop the Incompetent: Swimming. It makes 1/4 of the whole skillgroup you get a lot bonuses to useless. And it will kill you just like that <snap> if you ever find yourself in water.

Geez, what's wrong with people these days. Is a civil conversation and basic politeness 'sooo last month' already?

Ancient, you're probably just bitter. I have reached the same with Earthdawn a while ago, when nothing new - besides Cathay - was made. After a kick-ass book of Kratas I had my hopes high, and even though the RedBrick team did a lot of good, the system was still in the 'dark ages', with partially ov...

Well, the current ED team is devoted and cool, but they're still re-using the old material (from 1-st edition). The Kratas book was pretty sweet, dunno about the new one - Cathay - but beyond that all they did (besides a few adventures - and some of those are great) was updating the books to new gam...

The amount of nice Qualities in Runners Companion, and possible combos with those is huge. Plus, if you're playing a mundane character, you save 50+ Build Points (from Magic/Resonance and aligned qualities), or even 88-90 in case of a mage. Foci, spells and magical active skills cost a lot. So, in t...

The whole SR4 rules are basically WoD on d6's. And even for me dividing damage into stun/physical was a bit weird. Especially since taking a beating would be 'stun', even if all those bruises are indeed physical...

The problem with Dragons staying during downcycle wouldn't be that their 'bones implode' or anything. They're magical beings, not beings of magic. Their anatomy and physiology is real, material and working during the downcycle. It's just that their biggest advantage is magical - the ability to threa...

In Earthdawn everyone can use Half-magic. Even the Adepts - they use it for stuff being in the domain of their discipline, like Archers making arrows, and Wizards detecting the magical air of a place. Normal Namegivers (metahumans) can use half-magic instead of a skill. In game mechanics Adepts can ...
