Actually, I would recomend that you could have the following pre-gen characters: 1) An Archer Ranger 2) A Fighter 3) A Beat down Cleric 4) A Lazer Cleric, you should literally buy a laser here and have him shine it for attacks. 5) A Wizard who declares a square to be knifed, or tosses an Orange ball...

In the Dragonlance Core book, they described Silvanesti racists being "good taken to extremes." Since when is racism good?! And I don't mean "I think that Asian people study hard" racism, I mean the "all other races are scum and deserve to be stripped of their rights" ...

Well first off you are generalizing two much. Second of all, Wizards become more awesome because now they literally have all knowledge skills/cross class spot/listen (and take 1 level of a PrC with one of them as class skill) and cross class tumble. Secondly, Clerics still get the shaft because the ...

I would now like to direct everyone to the part of the PHB that specifies allies and enemies, pg 57: "If a power directly affects one or more creatures or objects, it has a “Target” or “Targets” entry. When a power’s target entry specifies that it affects you and one or more of your allies, the...

Giving a classless monster non crap feats from splatbooks, or intelligent choices when it actually has the HD to take Epic feats, or just decent PHB choices usually raises CR all on it's own. Giving the Tome Feats is going to make people cry unless you are in a Tome game, and then you still need to ...

1) Teleport is a swift action with items or with Quickened Spells. 2) I am well aware that he can foil the swift action, my point is that with that combined with other actions, the Fighter can't lockdown the Wizard. Yes it makes him waste spells, but it goes something like this: Move action, if it i...

Other ways a Wizard can get around foil action: Use swift action to teleport far away. Or use various items to teleport with swift action. Or have summons, or be invisible, or have the Planar Bound Chain Devil use up foil actions, or Shapechange into a Two Headed Bird with two standard actions, two ...

I'm going to have to jump in with Random for a bit, there is no problem making defensive characters. If you want a "Resilient" character make a Sorcerer 1/Paladin 2/Monk 2/Hexblade 3/Fist of the Forest 1 Use the race with +3 LA that has a +8 to Cha, and gets Cha to saves and AC. Now you ha...

My favorite is to just be a longbow wielder. Have it em with th smack down, though sometimes they can use their own range.

But basically, it's like SA but with full BAB and no 30ft max distance.

Wow, if you disallow items, feats, and then give out free bonuses to a specific type of fighter, he can still be less useful then the average Monk. That's special. Also, I teleport my sword into Tiamat's Heart The best part is, he's totally serious in thinking this is a legitimate "exploit."

Well see, a 20 doesn't count for threat range as I was envisioning it. I'm just pointing out another option, a...

So your choices are Heavy Pick/Kukri or Rapier/Light Pick? 1d6+1d4+Str 18-20/*4 Crit. 15-20/*4 once you start getting magic weapons. Well obviously it would narrow down to some specifically good combos. But that just means that you add one good combo to a Fighter's arsenal of options. So instead of...

Maybe a simple change to just TWFing is this: There is no feat. I'm serious, it's as easy as fighting with a greatsword. You take no penalties at all to your attacks. Forget that crap. In fact, you get a bonus of +1 or +2. You do damage equal to the base damage of both weapons. Then you add your Str...

I'm still looking for other awesome ones that make no sense, too. Ooh, you should totally take the feat that lets you telepathically sense everyone within 100' (like a super blindsense). It's a nice feat to have, but getting telepathy to meet the prerequisite usually requires a level in Mindbender....

I don't have a link. But everyone at Paizo is making a huge deal about the turnning rules. What I have discovered is that 10d6 damage, save for half in an AoE around the caster at level 20 is OMG overpowered. Even though a Cleric that spends all his feats on it can be duplicated by a Wizard casting ...

1) How did you do the spell list, did you assume a basic knowledge of what you were facing? Did you expend slots on Divinations and then do the same? Did you prepare a set spell list for all encounters? Did you prepare it knowing generally what you would be facing? 2) You seem to have picked the fea...

Honestly, I'd say, if we are basing it off of 3.5 classes, every level advancing the class is as normal, but all other classes grant 1/2 spell progression, rounded down. But CL is always equal to level.

So Wizard 6/Sorcerer 6 casts as a Wizard 9/Sorcerer 9 with a CL of 12 in both classes.
