I hate them, with thier crazy inter-webs. All over the place.

Count. Let one bite you. Then you'll need a sandwich, a douchbag, and a Black Widow to accomplish anything.

actually about the same as black widows these days, you have to be out in the damned sticks or young/old/infirm/whatever to be at any particular risk from widow poison these days, if i recall. Yeah. My San Diego basement was over-run with Black Widows. I never got bit and God be praised my kids nev...

When I lived in Texas I once put the head of a really big Cockroach on the tip of a toothpick in a cabinet.

I didn't have roaches in my apartment after that.

Let's be honest... BattleTech is sputtering because it's intentionally difficult to get into. It's overwhelming for even veteran gamers to get into with any seriousness. There's simply too much breadth. Dixie, Honestly, I could teach you to play BattleTech in an hour. I mean, after one hour you wou...

So after some digging it turns our PR's link is even more full of shit than I thought. The video he posted of the black woman choosing not to help a white farmer? It's a heavily edited right-wing character assassination. That's halfway through her speech, which ends up being a about how she saw the...

Back in the day I used to play in my basement in San Diego, which had a smooth poured concrete floor. Alot of times the higher quality dice (believe it or not) would fall off the edge of the table and bounce about a foot and a half high off the floor. One Bounce-Two Bounce-Boom. They'd shatter. The ...

What would be uber-cool would be one of those "Geek-Chic" game tables with a dice tower in each corner.

That would be the cat's ass.

Yeah,

I made one and I like it. It keeps dice from falling off the table and shattering on the floor, knocking over miniatures, rolling cock-eyed, etc.

We even use it for family game night with Monopoly and the such.

Maybe when he's playing video games his creativity is manifesting itself inside the game environment in the form of complex tactics, well formed plans of action, or even ignoring the point of the game and using the material of the world for other than it's intended purpose. I understand your point,...

And Gaming is to blame. Video gaming. Be specific. I can actually attest to this. My oldest son is very imagianative and creative. He's also a video game fanatic. When he's playing video games he sits there and drools. When he gets into trouble and gets grounded from video games he does things like...

Why are we talking about sales and IMR again? Because people insist that BattleTech is dying. I say that while it isn't near what it once was, that could be said about pen-n-paper gaming in general. The profit margin on a garden variety BattleTech book is about 4 dollars a copy. Give or take. Clutch

Fuck that noise. The original Battletech designs were stolen from Super Dimensional Fortress Macross - if the mecha aren't even running at that level of performance, then there's something seriously wrong. And it's not like players are asking to run around with mechs out of Gurran Lagaan or Evangel...

BattleMechs are just machines, nothing more or less. BattleTech is about people. No. Battletech is ABOUT TECH! And the Master-Piece of Battle-TECH is the Battle-MECH! CBT and even MWDA/Clicky-Tech is a Game about Big 'uge Stompy Robots! Not even about fast, elegant and agile Fighting Suits, but BIG...

Honestly, it's pretty bad when the tech in Battletech looks quaint and antiquated in comparison to the technology in Warhammer 40K. It's time for a revamp that updates the technology and makes the game play more like the giant robot anime that originally inspired its creation... but I'm not holding...

Why are WMDs even a thing in the later Battletech books? It's just a nuclear bomb, so fucking what? Nuclear weapons don't destroy everything , they just hit really hard over a large area. But the mechs in the setting have fusion reactors in their chests and shoot each other with plasma bolts. A nuc...

Lucky enough to be able to move to Denmark.
I grew up with a guy who moved to Denmark. Remind me to tell you the story some time. It involves Murder, a B&D dungeon, and an AXE murder.

It's really fucked up, but more so cause it's true.
