I don't see how anyone's been fed. They decided the original idea was stupid and did something useful instead.

I kind of agree that the recipes should be more generic; there isn't nearly enough in the way of cakes as it is, so far as I'm concerned, and I'd think it should be somehow possible for this guy to just do a whole ton of things just through the use of cake. Maybe. Maybe I'm just a fan of the idea of...

Oh my god.

This class is delicious. I am going to make one of these. And then play it. A magical warrior-chef? Fuck yes.

EDIT: Like, once it's finished, obviously.

So you can continue to summon your dead giant frog, and drop it on people to crush them? That's totally awesome. Hell, you can summon multiple dead giant frogs to drop on enemies. There hasn't been a Tome ability this hilarious since Koumei's pirate class instantly summoned shoulder parro...

I'm going to have to admit I'm still well upon the options bandwagon. Not to the ToB extent where there are seriously only two worthwhile options per level and the rest is just taking up space, but a lot of tuba bards just are not going to be interested in letting off Brown Notes all the time. It does need some playtesting, as well as more performance tricks to be really playable. Not counting virgileso's tricks you don't even have enough for a single 20th level character, and there really should be at least twice as many as that to make each bard seem unique. A player in my campaign brou...

Alright, that's what I thought. Considering there's no Tome version of Rapid Shot to my knowledge, I guess this is just the way it is for now. I don't see it as game breaking in any real way, since the sword attacks take the -2 as well, but it's still pretty damn weird. Oh well.

Clarification on Two-weapon fighting.

Say I have a hand crossbow in my main hand, and a longsword in my off-hand, and I have TWF (the Tome one, duh) and Rapid Shot. I Rapid shot with my hand crossbow to get an extra attack. Since I got an extra attack with my hand crossbow, I'll be getting an extra attack with the sword too, right?

GoA: You might want to take a look at this thing as well. I'm not as much of a fan of skill feats when so far as I'm concerned skillmonkeys shouldn't have to spend feats just to get something actually useful out of the skills they pumped up: http://dungeons.wikia.com/wiki/Tome_of_Prowess_%283.5e_Sou...

WTF are you on Mauver? It's a 5 level NPC class, so you get like 3 feats if you're human (unless you're an idiot and start giving bullshit NPCs bullshit flaws). +6 to hit is not going to break the RNG at that level, but it is going to mean that you probably hit PCs. It's a slightly boosted version ...

Re: [NPC] Berserker

Replaceable Rage: Berserkers represent the faceless barbarian horde. Easy to use, easy to replace but still scarry. They do not get feats as normal. Instead, each day, for a number of rounds equal to the feats they would be eligible for, a berserker may go into a rage as a standard action. While in...

Basically, you can go ahead and assume that any skill you're having these guys use that actually makes sense for them to be using will have level +3 ranks in it. This is going to be... almost all skill rolls you actually make for NPCs. Only when the wizard has to do acrobatics or the fighter has to ...

Which is probably a good idea since you want this group to cover a fair bit of ground in terms of mechanics. Right now you've got two characters with the exact same class levels.

The thing I hate about 7 is how arbitrary and metagamy it is. A session an literally be 20 minutes or six months or game time. How do you make that make sense in the game world? Really, the solution is that you don't . Powers like fireball and great cleave aren't 1/session recharge because that end...

I always just figured that interpretation of the rage dice rules would make it a complete no-brainer to take twf with a barbarian, making the twf barbarian completely overshadow any other kind of barbarian, including the greataxe wielder and all. And that would suck.

You can get fired for being a socialist, because it's blackmail point, because they'd fire you for being a socialist. And so on. Military intelligence really is an oxymoron. No one takes issue with flagrant circular reasoning in the military, apparently? I'd like to see examples/stories about that....

Parrying is already in the game. It's called "not getting hit" and while the mechanical representation is kind of lackluster, it's seriously just fluff as to what the hell happens when an attack does or does not hit.
