I've had to veto something post facto before because with hindsight I had a much better grasp on exactly what I'd agreed. Conversely if you do that you really have to sit down the player and work something out, and avoid what you just did (Ie rebranding it for the bad guys)

Re: Magic: the Gathering
As I really love the idea behind this, and no-one else is commented.[br][br]You're going to need an example of play.. and whats much more important, a few examples of exactly how the seizing territory for mana works both mechanically and in a game context.[br][br](I still don't really understand how...

Re: Making the Warlock from Scratch
Why not just use a conduit of the lower planes instead? Retool the flavour a bit, and it has much the same mechanical feel as the warlock, with less of the sucking.

An 8th level TWF assassin (with full death attack) who studies someone for a round is going to unload 4 attacks at +10d6 for each attack. 40d6+4x weapon damag...

Re: Races of War/Dungeonomicon in Action
The more you mention altenative tactics for the assassin, the more I agree the problem lay with the player and me facing off - they are not a tactical genius, but I'm moderately reasonable. They didn't exploit the majority of the synergies you mention - my only note is that the game really sucks wit...

Re: Races of War/Dungeonomicon in Action
Probably
In the Races of War thread, K did ask if anyone had any stories about the material in actual gameplay, which is all I am providing.
The Sorc posts here and my drop by with some more material at some point.

Re: Races of War
Another question about intent - with the +2 levels in the first sneak attack or sudden strike class ability - or the similar ability referenced below, is that supposed to be two levels of class abilities, two effective levels for sneak attack progression, or two levels of class abilities + saves + b...

Re: Races of War
I'm about to kick off a game using these rules, and I was wondering if I could get some clarification [br][br] [br][br]Samurai pledge their loyalty to a Lord, a figure of temporal power and head of a noble family or clan. To retain this Lord, they must follow this Lord's orders and uphold any Code o...
