Excluding the "What do spellcasters do?" question, gestalting those three together for Warrior/Expert, Warrior/Caster, and Expert/Caster works (better).

The rules you write are not separable from the world that is painted on that canvas. I've always found something odd about this argument, but I couldn't put my finger on it. If you meant "genre," then I might be able to agree with you, but "world" falls flat on one concept: refl...

The way TNE is currently entered in, it seems to be soft classes (five colors) which have a number of pre-built builds for the newb. Party face, Ritual guy, Sneak, etc. all seem to be selectable unlinked to the colors.

The Laws of Physics are, however, good for a number of different games that do not include such things.

A short list of what it can do:
- Iron Age War
- Medevial Europe Intrigue
- 20th Century Detictives
- Space Opera (granted, no Sci-Fi cliches, but, ...)
- SimCity :)

While I agree with Frank about not mixing high and low fantasy, I disagree with Frank about what is a new game. New Paint != New Game; Drastically Different Mechanics == New Game. I also think that Kitchen Sink approach to the base rules is good . Settings should be about reflavoring present materia...

Frank, this violates rule #1: You are not allowed to play the race/class of "I am better than you;" as written. Secondly, why should we assume that is how True Name Magic works? Did you read what he said? (To take a - retarded - page from Crissa.) Who fvcking cares about the specifics of ...
