Black and Blue was terrible and stupid. It was a cop movie wherein everyone made ridiculously idiotic and irrational choices at pretty much every turn. I do not understand how it got to the making of a movie stage because it made so little sense that the actors should have taken one look at the scr...

It looks like something from the DJ Inkers studio. I don't know what it actually is, though.

Never would have thought of that. These cakes are pretty common now, though not, perhaps, that shade of pink.

Maybe in Germany. But here, your average cake isn't going to do that. Not even with chocolate or cream cheese frosting. And most fruit fillings are really thick like jam/pie filling, and so it's OK. So unless it's less processed fruit, or a special frosting like whipped cream, it will still be fine....

As it warms up, water condenses on the crystals, dissolving and becoming a mess. Incidentally, I'm not sure why refrigeration for cake is mandatory (unless there's a special circumstance like fruit or a different icing or high temperatures). Most cake doesn't need to be in the fridge, and in fact, r...

fucking IPA's... I used to love craft beers until they all got together and decided EVERY FUCKING BEER NEEDS TO BE AN IPA NOW. I completely agree. My brother-in-law trades IPAs with people from across the country, and he's all right in the middle of it. My sister and I laugh a lot about it. I hate ...

Shoulda titled this thread "a distressing trend" or something like that. I didn't intended for it to be a me-only thread about distressed shit. I just started it off with that because I needed to get it out, it wasn't about death or the news, and I'm assuming that people here think about ...

Random Thoughts and Musings...

I had a thought today, and it's on a topic that probably no one who frequently posts here really cares about, but y'all have been known to be good to me and also post about shit I don't care about so suck it. --- I fucking hate the distressed aesthetic. I hate it. I hate the idea of spendi...

"Retarded" was a hard habit for our house to shake. And not for lack of wanting to (Gi is a special needs kid in classes with other special needs kids, so yeah), but for lack of good synonyms that did the same job. And then Derpy Hooves came along and saved us all. I know the term has been...

The year we started getting regular flu vaccines is when we stopped repeatedly getting sick from the kids at school. It feels really, really nice to not have school year = sick season.

I cannot personally relate to how you feel. I have only watched two people bloom because we realized there was a medication to help alleviate a problem they suffer from. It was life-changing for all of us. I hope the best for you. Since you don't have a strong history of self-advocating, I'd like to...

Is all this normal? I am confused by what I have read online because it is such an abused drug and I am uncertain about my diagnostic situation. And if it is normal, when I go back to the psychiatrist, should I ask to try different ADHD meds, or just focus on titrating the adderall? Cause I don't u...

Super Bowl Halftime show: Watched it on YouTube. I loved the little things about it. The nod to Kashmir. The Puerto Rican flag. The belly dancing. The speaking Spanish. The stripper pole. Bad Bunny and J Balvin. Lots of Fuck Yous. It was a great.

I just watched the season finale of The Good Place . I don't think a comedy has made me cry that emotionally that hard. The show was amazing, and it's kinda what the world needs... A story about people trying to be better, and who end up imperfectly good. I love it. Isn't that the show where they t...

I had a roaming patella (and the exercises were also mostly the same for my son's Osgood-Schlatter's). I think I still have the how-to sheets that they gave me. Do you want me to scan them in and send you the exercises? With those and YouTube you can probably do your own physical therapy. Just remem...

So... My son took the Political Compass test for the first time today. I had to explain a couple of concepts to him, but I was actually impressed with his level of knowledge about stuff (not that I don't talk to him about it, but there are things we haven't gone in-depth about). Result: Very deep gr...

I super-loved Messiah on Netflix. Honestly, I can't put why into words, but I thought the series was engrossing and well done. I really hope this is one show where they have the story plotted out for its full run because I can see it going horribly wrong very easily if they do the make-it-till-it-fa...
