Re: Tome of Battle
It's not even a good step if it doesn't make them equal. IT just makesthem better, but that's no favor. Until they are equal, it's not good enough.

Re: Fiendish Codex Excerpt: See my man-tears. Real tears.
Gerunds are runner ons. Or, say, slipping in like.. the REAL ID act on a bill for the miltary. I.. think I changed it from what it is, ad meant no germane runner ons. (or, something that is n't related.)

Re: Screaming "Buyer!" in a crowded theater.
Okay, I went and reread it. You're right. None happened on US soil. So, yes, you can either credit our security, or not. And the likelyhood is still low, yes. However, if they had no security, you'd go up in flames from the government not caring. You seem to assume that since only one occured, we sh...

Mind a) backing that up and b) explaning how the terrorist attacks on US soil were related to airplane security?

Re: Screaming "Buyer!" in a crowded theater.
Meh. I'll concede the list is nowhere near comprehensive, but it was really all I could find that said anything either way, since rereading the FBI reports simply said the majority of terrorist attacks don't occur on US soil.

Re: Screaming "Buyer!" in a crowded theater.
I suppose. Mind you, I operate from a security perspective, it's much better safe than sorry, and my points reflect it. While I agree people shouldn't be stopped from carrying blades on a plane, the flip side is that it could be a very bad thing.

Re: Screaming "Buyer!" in a crowded theater.
.. The FBI also fires people who work hard. The chance of me believing them falls to zero. Dead serious. Since, however, you ignored my points, I went and looked it up. Now, here we go. Re: Fiendish Codex Excerpt: See my man-tears. Real tears.
.. the books don't address what spending is done where. The books address the radicalization of the Republican Party.
Okay, now on to Pork. Departments tend to get budgets, make reports to get budgets....that then send it to projects. This is how it works. That's what I'm saying.

Re: Fiendish Codex Excerpt: See my man-tears. Real tears.
If there was a line-item veto, any amount of negotiations would be null and void - the party with control of the executive branch would get its pork, and the party out of favor would get none. [br][br]New Jersey disagrees. Seriously, that still wouldn't be a bad thing, since politics are inherently...

Re: Screaming "Buyer!" in a crowded theater.
There is no logical reason why not to, besides that it's unfair. So? If you want security, you sacrifice freedom, you sacrifice good taste. This is quite clear. You cannot have it both ways. You also cannot expect them to spend a month or more training people and have good security. There is only so...

Re: Fiendish Codex Excerpt: See my man-tears. Real tears.
Some time this century, there will need to be a fundamental change in the operation of our government if we hope for the USA in geographical form to survive; whether we go Shadowrun or Star Trek depends on what forces best position themselves to either rehaul the current system or clean up after th...

Re: We're not talking about 'the war' enough
And, let's see. The BBC reports that Isreal HAS actually broken the cease fire, due to a probable (..!) arms transmission. So. They actually did something badly wrong. Of course,t he UN has no real power in the region at the moment, so.. it's entirely possible that it's true. Or not. It's up to you ...

I know this is slightly off topic, but consider this. THe United Nations was unable to prevent 6 wars, numerous civil right violations and Iraq's rearming. When they had specific rules against this.[br][br]GIven that, it is entirely logical for Israel to conclude that the UN would be no help. Espica...

The fact is simple. Israel was attacked at a military target. That means Israel is at war. And in war, accidental civilian deaths aren't illegal. While deplorable, and heartbreaking... unavoidable.[br][br]And in response: How many Israel citizens have died due to suicide bombing and airstrikes, neh?
