"A [dangerous force] is [taking a shit] on [your local territory]; stop them adventurers"
Is honestly an adventure type that I've seen far too often in larps; and I've always hated it b/c there's no incentive to engage that sort of content instead of letting it move on.

Would it make sense to just have Deity/Pretender scale creatures to fill out the higher tiers? Norse god Thor is ~10, maybe 15 at most; since they face Ice/Fire giants and slay them; but can't singlehandedly invade Muspelheim or Nifelheim. So to Horus, Susanoo, Toutias, Quetzelcoatl, Rainbow Serpent...

I never quite understood why RPGs of licensed properties don't feature what-if campaigns in a more upfront way at all. Like, it's the motherfucking Star Wars Galaxy, BUT instead of Luke Skywalker, the hero is _____________ and she meets the smugglers __________ and ________ at Mos Eisley cantina an...

... What you can't have is magic that obviates high level contributions of the other characters, but the ability to take an action and kill some dudes does not do that. ... Problematic spells are things that in some way obviate entire armies of tiny men. High flying. Incorporeality. Weapon Immunity...

It varies. Survival actions like Block and Posture help defensive PCs; whereas most antagonists and aggressive PCs don't bother. It also helps to break up having to Feint in order to actually hit a creature on-par/better than your attack pool. It also makes combat feel like it's a bit more cinematic...

Even Soulless get skills and they're fucking zombies. Zombies that can open doors, use guns, and drive vehicles.... as long as they're controlled, or don't see a human . Even the relatively stupid, animalistic, Mirror-Goblin has some skills. While actually animalistic Chimera have a bunch of skills.

I'm surprised that the drinking rules are somewhat how how blood alcohol levels accumulate. I'm not surprised that the mechanics for intoxication don't correlate well with servings size however. I'd like to know more about how recovery from intoxication works though; is it anything close to the roug...

Using this as a means to develop closer ties with the NPCs makes a lot of sense, being on good terms with one's neighbours never hurts; and if your players develop relationships with NPCs they'll have them as potential resources to call upon between/during adventures. This also reminds me of a "...

I'm sort of flabbergasted at how complicated this homebrew class is. Ten pages of text for a non-spellcaster. Few of the abilities matter, or require tons of juggling of little things; like a level-scaling Max HP debuff with barely-scaling damage buff; or deciding if you want to be sort of a ghost, ...

As far as magical implements go, you have to ask yourself how many doohickeys you want casters to carry around in their golf bags. Lots of wizards in various media just have their one cool trick that they spam over and over again. And you can also find media where mages pull a thing off the shelf e...
