I only differ in believing that it is possible for entities with divine ranks to learn to be better.
That only proves you're not the target demographic (it also proves you're good, and that I'd probably enjoy playing at your table).

Any time I see a thread like this I remain convinced that distant/non-provable Gods work best for every setting. Alas, dnd is meant to cater to Gygaxian players, and thus provides gods as the ultimate RPeen NPCs. In dnd-land there is no "Problem of Evil" because everyone knows their world...

Apparently they have a bigger staff than Wizard's, but not the sales of 5e.
"A bigger staff than WotC" is not a tall bar when the dnd division is barely a skeleton crew.

Being my gaming preferences of the luciferan persuasion, deities rarely have an important role in my games. They're more often than not world-building details that are made up on a need basis. Currently, I'm running a game in what is less and less Dragonstar by the session but I'm increasingly more ...

Re: Wizards informally announces 5.5 edition

Mearls has specifically said that 5e PHB has outsold any other edition's PHB, ...and here I thought no one could beat Sean Spicer at pathetic, bald-faced lies. The thing about 5E is that it is The Edition That Everyone Plays AND NO ONE BUYS . If it had outsold 4E, WotC wouldn't have turned the dnd ...

Re: "In my game the Mental Attributes are..."

Magic and knowledge makes you MORE susceptible to malign influence, not less. Power doesn't corrupt, it only reveals character. Saruman always was a little shit. All he got from Sauron's backing and an orc army was freedom to be himself. While you can validly argue that "they who seek power sh...

I don't handle attributes, no. My game's bonuses are handled by class (fixed, not growing) and Enhancements you have a small percentage to win each encounter (and mostly replace treasure as a road to power).

Re: Wizards informally announces 5.5 edition

Yes, but this way Wizards makes more money. I have a sneaking suspicion Hasbro is getting tired of their shit and is telling them "either monetize DnD or fire everybody who's not working on MtG." They don't even have to write anything, all they have to do is start charging licensing fees ...

The only "get extra re-rolls" method I've ever cared for is M&M's Luck advantage where rolls under 10 on the die get a +10, because otherwise it's not even worth bothering as far as I'm concerned. Fuck swinginess. Also your proposal would need either a full rebalancing of every single ...

I think in Buhlman's case it's mostly a matter of "did not adequately learn social cues and socialization at low level"

Feng Shui is a no-brainer considering Matrix was, first and foremost, a love letter to John Woo. Everybody needs to be kung fu fighting, and Feng Shui is the game for that. Just build archetypes around the Matrix' characters, and add additional "chosen one" superpowers available post chara...

Funny how, in all of the Den's history, I only remember two threads on Erotically Charged Sexventures.
If you're talking 5E, why not just giving your PCs a free, sex-related Path/Specialization/whatever the name?

Haiti's US backed dictator was assassinated. Are you positive he was US' backed? Because if so, that's a most grim portent for my country (not like I expected do-nothing Biden to step up before our tinpot dictator turns us into a banana republic, but seriously, it's not in the US' best interest to ...

There was a world before 9/11, and there is a world after 9/11. This may be a bit off-topic, but what does everyone think the odds are of 5e eventually getting a cool, ambitious project like this one for it? I still get a kick out of people declaring the death of 5E D&D back in 2014. Well it did. For all practical purposes it's a stillbirth. The lesson to be learned from 5e is that people wanted cleaner rules I guess a single sheet saying "suck the DM's cock" is as clean and concise as it...

It also goes into more talk about the conversion system, and... I think it fails at a metaphor.
