If they know this little about the gods, and the lizardfolk religion differs this much, how could they possibly tell that it's the same goddess? Are there ways to identify which god granted a particular spell? Do lizardfolk clerics use the same holy symbols? Similarly, how can they tell a particular...

It later turns out that two of the Twelve are secretly gods of the lizard people. Ironically, these eldritch horrors are Tsa, the love and peace hippie goddess of youth, creativity and rebirth, and Hesinde, goddess of art, education and alchemy. Not exactly the gods you'd suspect to be worshipped a...

The wiki you're hotlinking from does not support hotlinking. You're the only one who can see the pictures, because you have them in your cache.

Re: Why Eastern European games rock so much ?

Well actually, the Witcher is an English badass who was given a polish name by a plagarist, and is sold as polish for that reason. But sure, I agree with the general principle. Geralt is not remotely a Polish name, and the books are popular in part for being based on distinctly Slavic folklore and ...

Create a second array to hold point distances from the given point. Find the minimal point, saving the distances into the array, then get all points within double distance. Complexity: 2N comparisons and N calculations. The partitioning would be OK if you could reuse it for multiple queries against ...

Not really a pressing questions compared to the others but I'm curious whethrr psionics will be used in this setting Well not psionics-psionics because the system has few unique effects and a badly designed power schedule. But ilithids and the like are psychic even when you're using normal casting ...

Making the arrangement into a pyramid means two new planar boundaries (Air/Earth and Fire/Water) which in turn means you don't have the one to one correspondence to the AD&D Paraelementals. Its a choice that they could (and arguably should) have made, but didn't. They already don't have a 1:1 c...

While this is obviously intended to be a compromise position between all the other elemental models out there, it's a compromise I can get behind. Elemental planes honestly don't need to be infinite, merely "very big", and putting Fire next to Air gives an excuse for the whole Efreet/Djin...

Fantasy heroes spend the other 15 hours and 55 minutes of their waking workday doing other things which also advance their quest towards completion. They fight one encounter but then spend the rest of the time walking places or negotiating with princes or something. Thus, I can see why someone woul...

It's been a while since I've read the books, but I can't remember Geralt being said to be unable to use magic without his medallion. Witchers can use Signs because they all have minor magic abilities as a result of their magically-induced mutations. Geralt is just better than everyone else because he already had magical abilities, and at one point is offered to go and become a full mage. Is that from the games? I recall book Ger...

Well, actually now I'm wondering how many of Kamina's over the top machismo lines about being killed and such are mistranslated like name here described. "A real man never dies, even when he's mortally wounded!" is a much more reasonable (for a given definition of reasonable...) statement...

Sapkowski is pretty explicit about him bieng tired of the Witcher, and only doing it (and changing the ending) for the money. Because Witcher is the only series of his that became popular. When did he change the ending? His story, which the game trilogy is based on. What was changed? I can't find a...

Specifically, the problem is that the site doesn't retain that data. Notice that the URL of the first page contains what you were searching for, but on subsequent it's the ID of the search. Using search.php?search_author=Kaelik&start=(25 per page) lets you go subsequent pages.

Probably a lack of research into the second half, however the idea that Abrahamic religions have difficulty with anyone but YHWH being able to do magical bullshit is far from new or inconsistent. After all, the first response of Christianity to accusations of witchcraft was to execute the accuser f...

It would have taken like 20 lines of code to make a two player game as well.
I'm not sure they did. According to the article, there are separate sets of levels for single player and 3 player.
