Re: Read the sticker: Complete Divine Stuff.
Like Catharz said, I can't find any RAW stating P.A. does not allow for PrC prerequisites. And that's checking all my books, errata, FAQ, etc.[br][br]Although I think Frank's statement has to do with the feat's author making that statement somewhere on the WotC web site. I could be wrong here though...

Re: Things I Like About the Forgotten Realms
DBB, after re-reading the entry for the Great Dale in the UE book --- I have to agree, that looks like a really cool place for me to revisit some campaign ideas. I've done some Thay-Rasheman campaign hooks in the past. As well as some Vaasa-Damara conflicts in the Bloodstone Lands.[br][br]But the Gr...

Re: Tome of Necromancy (Incomplete)
The Stranger with Burning Eyes is just for Sorcerors! Nice. Well, a Bard could get in with some PrC'ing. The class also has full BAB. That should make for a kickass NecroGish.

Re: Is ajudicating Ventriloquism really that hard?
You can use Ventriloquism to cast spells when your body is within a zone of silence or if your mouth becomes gagged somehow (assuming you already had it up and running or a continuous magic item on your body). That can be pretty handy.[br][br]The real ajudication issues that arise are when Ventriloq...

Re: Things I Like About the Forgotten Realms
Conceptually, the Realms already has all the sexy "new" gimmicks that Eberron claims to originate. It's just that the Realms never had them statted out. Areas like Halruaa already fuse high magic and quasi-science. And Lantan seems even more a home to Artificers than any specific area in E...

Re: I Admire Your Bravery
Having hated the Realms for my beginning years in D&D, I've finally come full circle and have really enjoyed my last 2 campaigns (hosted by FR-centric gaming groups). [br][br]The Realms fan base and web communities are incredibly impressive in their dedicated passion and breadth of immersion in ...

Whoa. That warrants an official grievance filed to the Living City administration, no?
That's really, really wrong.

Re: The Hide Skill Blows
Over on the WotC boards, people still go crazy-nuts over the Hide in Play Sight ability (Ranger, Shadowdancer, etc.). And yet there are still a ton of people who still can't figure out the nuances of how it exactly works. Or how it can somewhat be duplicated via finessing the Hide skill.

Re: Best Magic Items--EVAR
Ring of the Darkhidden (MoF?) - It's priced using 3.0 rules. But's it's ultra-dirt cheap and makes you invisible to all who use Darkvision. As DM, I would insist it gets repriced using 3.5 rules. And also have a darkvision-clad party "properly RP" the fact that nobody in the group can see ...

Re: The Hide Skill Blows
The Hide skill used in conjunction with the Darkstalker feat (LoM) is pretty much a mandatory optimization for high level Rogues. That way blindisght, scent, tremorsense, etc. doesn't do jack squat against you.

Re: Bards?
Your 4 Ranks/Level + Bonus SkFocus Feat mechanic is interesting. Why not just go with 6 Ranks/Level instead? Also, the Swim skill seems a bit inappropriate for someone who will probably be lugging around a mandolin or a flute.[br][br]Otherwise, very nice. :-) There's a whole ton of Bard Song feats o...

Re: What are you supposed to do?
Thanks, Frank. Good stuff. Although I find it interesting that Move Silently is mentioned as mandatory, but not Hide. [br][br]I tend to play in a lot of games where the typical 5 person party tries to have a specialist in Diplo, Bluff, & Intimidate each. That way you cover all the social skill a...

Re: What are you supposed to do?
This is targeted to those who are currently playing the Red Hand of Doom module. Very interesting commentary so far. [br][br]In retrospect, if you could go back in time and have your group recreate your characters before starting play -- what party composite would you chose?[br][br]This is assuming...

In my neck of the woods, nearly everybody who has played all the other gaming systems over the years -- has finally converted to D&D traditional or D&D modern.[br][br]I seriously don't know anybody anymore who plays Palladium, Gurps, White Wolf Stuff, etc. And they use to outnumber the D&...

Re: A Bard with no Bard levels
The Spellsinger PrC in Races of Faerun is perfect to tack on to a Wizard baseline. It's a 5/5 spellcaster progression, 4 skills/level, and gives you full bard music uses using 3.0 rules. That latter benefit is awesome, because 3.5 bard PrCs that are useable by Wiz/Sorc's only give you a watered-down...
