I'm looking at the tables here, and apparently you don't need level 5, 7, and 9 major powers from your dominant class? I think something is wrong there.

Elementals are in the Tome of Tiamat plan. The Book of Elements took those out, along with Genies and the bonus classes (most of them...)

Thusly, everyone will constantly know what they're doing and gameplay will not proceed as wit...

Woooo trollin'.... This is a bad system. It's based on "maybe I'm going to fail this, maybe not" and gives the chance of someone buying a 10-charge wand, and only getting to use it once. It also gives the chance of someone buying a 10-charge wand, and using it 100 times. If there is a syst...

Actually, that's a really cool idea. Lots of work on MC's part, but I'd love for every player to get excited when a reality quake happens, "Shit, did that change my powers? Should I test it? What if it's not, and I'm actually running on a mana pool?"

Would be awesome. We should do this.

Let's not get derailed, guys. Tiers are shitty, but the idea of dividing balance into 6 points makes me a lot happier than the 4 points we use here. Sigma probably has some similar rationale. In other news, I'm pretty sure Gravestrike and Golemstrike are level 1 spells. I'd like those things to be r...

Concerning the dodging of bullets... If someone was in front of me, whipped out his pistol, and started firing shots, I could have the powers to deflect them easily. Say 1 hit from a dice pool. How about if it were a sniper. I see the sniper, and I know he's got his scope adjusted to shoot me in the...

Well, I think the feat from ToB that grants a maneuver or stance is qualified as a fighter feat.... So if you had that for all the ToB maneuvers, you'd actually be quite decent.

GW, I believe it was the way you made your point that created Frank's response. You said there should be "potential" for every class to contribute, and he said that the monk has "potential" to contribute. It's effectively a warning. Your balance should not be judged by whether a ...

Uber, I wouldn't say rogues are fine as-is. Competitive rogue builds seem to revolve around rings of blink, and use of gravestrike and golemstrike, and whatever the thing is to hit undead... Rogues are very dependent on a few schticks and get boned when they don't have them (ring of blink, for insta...

If you're playing the game and not the numbers, fighters are just as fine as wizards.

so let's not get into that bullshit, all right? It's what gives us Paizils.

If you make characters recover half their surges in a day, you encourage the characters resting for 2 days to recover all their healing surges and then using the surges like crazy, only to rest for another 2 days and gain all the surges again.

Noodles in a Campbell's Soup

I heard a statistic that says "there are exactly 216 noodles in each can of campbell's chicken noodle soup". Which I call bullshit on. Now, I'm not going to talk about how probability dictates that there is DEFINITELY a can out there with less noodles. I'm calling bullshit on the fact camp...

By accounting, he means you have like 8-12 points to deal with, and you need to subtract costs from each of them (meaning you need to know the costs). Because of these numbers, you can move, attack, move, or attack twice and move a little, and all sorts of different things. That's accounting. The pr...

yes. If they trip, you shouldn't be provoking an AoO. If you have the Edge, then you're badass enough to not provoke an AoO.

I'm on the side of fighters not making good narrative characters. I have a friend who loves fighters, and at level 20 he's still smacking things around with his hammer for a lot of damage.

There's little to no awesome in that.
