Huh... as is more often than not the case, I can't actually see it because of "I've fallen and I can't get u...", I mean, "Extended Unplanned Maintenance". *sigh* And *these* are the people who are promising to revolutionise table-top gaming with their shiny new D&D Insider ...

Define "re-arranging the deck chairs on the Titanic": Is 4E's new Brutal weapon property overpowered? Does a weapon property that let's you re-roll low numbers on damage dice break the game? The property increases minimum damage, but has no effect on maximum damage. Let's just pray that Wo...

The fail is palpable. Daily Power Standard Action Grunt and flex (aka: spend a healing surge) to squeeze a little furry animal out of your pouch. You can then marionette this creature around the board^H^H^H^H^H battlefield attracting derision and hilarity in your wake until someone take it upon them...

Sorry if this constitutes blogspam.

From Critical Hits: WOTC wants to charge for D&DI beta

Looks like they're continuing the unspoken 4E paradigm of 'you get to pay for the privilege of being our beta testers'.

The Warhammer style Greenskins are to my mind unsatisfying, Is that just because of the way they speak? Warhammer Orcs are weaksauce as a culture. Between the Mockney "I'm ded fik me" accents they're are lumbered with, their lowbrow fanboi machismo appeal, and the fact they have literally...

That's just amazing. The rhythm, the meter, it's all there; this guy is a full-on beatnik spam-poetry double-hardcore genius. Seriously, how can you beat something like: "Read the posts about how a Lone Rouge can Solo Orcus? I Like to see them try agest a Proper Day of Battles on how its so po...

And of course who can forget the original rules of Star Wars where wearing armor actually caused you to get hit more often and take more damage (because you took extra damage based on how much they hit you by and the damage reduction afforded by wearing armor was less than the bonus damage that ene...

Frank with his own podcast. Now there's a thought. I mean, unlike message boards, you can't get kicked off your own podcast. Inspired by Koumei's comment on page 3 of this thread I imagine a sort of D&D-flavoured, American-accented Yahtzee calling down well-reasoned fire and damnation on gaming...

I wonder if this guy is Lich Loved's sock puppet . I mean, just from looking at his recent posts . I'd just ascribed the post to Jason Buhlman's ID going feral, hijacking control of his off-hand, and deciding to astroturf up some grassroots support for Pathfinder 3A being perfect and ready for rele...

Wasn't really planning on it. Aristocrats and Experts don't usually even need rules. -Username17 What about Commoners? IIRC the "Races of War" position was that there is no such thing as a meaningful commoner class. Commoner = creature with a racial hit die, poor BAB and minimal skills. :?

Why the fuck would those 2 countries fight each other though? Quick answer: pre-existing tensions over disputed borders and regional influence. IIRC the Chinese and Indian armies have been glaring at each other across a glacier at 18,000ft since the mid '60s. I think Prak_Anima was right to typify ...

Hi.

"Why the hate for Balance?"

I'm a habitué of the boards in question, but even I was cringing within two posts and losing faith in humanity within 4.

Hope it raises a smile or two.
