Re: Daily powers that don't encourage 5 minute workdays

Funny story. Neverwinter (as opposed to Neverwinter Nights) is the 4e MMO that everyone expected when 4e came out (rather than after it has already been shot in the head). It has at wills and encounters (though encounter powers are just on a timer), feats and all. But according to some of the close...

Who would want to mix 4E with sex? Hey, with typical encounters taking 2.5 hours, I can see folks might be interested. I was at the GenCon where this guy showed up to hawk the book. He came (heh heh, heh heh) with two heavily tattooed, screendoorly pierced, scantily clad femmes who basically just d...

I started in Beta, it was alot of fun, but the treadmill does get old for constructed (and playing against mono-red direct damage 4 out of 5 times in every constructed tourney got kinda old). I don't see how anyone can play constructed anymore, but booster draft was major fun the last five years or ...

A typical gold piece ( i.e., coin) in the ancient/medieval "real" world was MUCH smaller than Gygax's "10 gold pieces is a pound". Gygax's weight makes a "typical" gold piece well over an ounce, a ridiculously large coin by real world standards (such coins existed, but ...

The only thing that makes it a possible watch is it's on sci-fi (or whatever spelling it is nowadays)...by sci-fi standards, a movie that shows the back of Nicolas Cage's head of 90 minutes, no dialogue, would be "above average". So, at least they have some material and a low bar. Alas, pl...

It should be pointed out that nicotine is a pesticide. That is literally why tobacco plants produce it. So it's probably not good news in any form. But so's the stuff that makes peppers spicy (and I imagine the same goes for onions). Is there anything that shows consuming spicy food is carcinogenic?

That was an awesome game. TA: Kingdoms wasn't very good, but the original was certainly enjoyable. That said, if you're goot at RTS games you won't find it that challenging - I won pretty easily (mainly by turtling until I could launch ALL THE NUKES) and I generally suck at them. Contrast with Dark...

Don't wish death on other people (what Psychic Robot got the axe over), and don't be a "LOL I TROLLED YOU" jackass and hold up your end of a conversation, and you're pretty much welcome. Yes, absolutely, don't wish death on other people, or imply violence towards other people. That's very...

Weirdness. I'd have to sit with a pencil and paper to see if I'm over halfway there, and still don't see me making it to a million within 10 years without considerable luck (or relatives dying, which is high probability).

Edit: Nope, not halfway there.

Yeah, I'm hard pressed to know what a hurricane is like when it hits "up north"...hurricanes here are a mess, but no big deal. On the other hand, a quarter inch of snow and sustained 31 degree weather in Louisiana is enough to shut down everything. So, I'm going to guess even a level 1 hur...

Without errata, Dwarven Battlerager is pretty much the go-to class at low level. Keeping track of marks and all that temp hp is a pain in the butt, though, and no fun for a beginner. If you're going for "easiest to play" (a real issue with someone new to RPGs, especially 4e which is actual...

In general, yes, you want to avoid the debt trap as much as possible. At the current prices, college coursework only makes sense if you're going for a specific job that requires the degree, and you have a very good chance of getting that degree within a 6 year timeframe. Past that, the math just doe...

Oblivion; the game plays much better if you build your character so that you can completely control his leveling (i.e., so that he gains levels as slowly as possible).
