Re: [MLP:CCG] Beginning metagame

I admit that I'm reluctant to allow my six-year-old to get really into My Little Pony because of my fears of people that are into it in a deviant manner. But I expect that those elements remain an over-reported fringe element. This isn't a game for little kids. It's a game that not only requires re...

You're complaining about Mr. Suitcase in a game for bronies and you're that offended at any suggestion that the playerbase might be toxic?

I can't think of any game less appealing than a CCG with My Little Pony characters, nor anyone less appealing to play with than the people who would be inclined to play MLP the CCG.

I am pretty sure these aren't helpful thoughts, but there you are.

In Nomine is WOD-alike game with angels, demons, and the war between Heaven and Hell in place of vampires and vampire politics. It's interesting but definitely not the sort of game where you run around with a gaggle of zombies.

Powers, Irreedeemable/Incorruptible, Authority, Kingdom Come, the Boys, Marvel/Miracleman. There's a decent amount of source material for this. The "Masquerade" renegade explanation seems unsatisfying, though. I don't see how life is more or less stable in a setting where, if someone goes ...

Agree/disagree
Discuss.

Perhaps you could offer us some sort of context or explanation to explain what you're getting at, or is this going to be a guessing game?

I find it very funny that PL is so retarded that he thinks I claimed that I had a Master's Degree in International Relations. Read again. For example, I don't think that the goal is to let people play Orc Wizards.
Then writing rules that allow orc wizards but make them shitty instead of just disallowing orc wizards is still retarded.

Says you. Do you have any argument other than "Nuh uh"? Because it's fairly well established that a -2 to int doesn't make orc wizards less intelligent, it just makes them less every-other-stat since you're just going to take points out of every other stat to make up the stat you want. I ...

It's aggravated by additional, pointlessly race-specific options (feats, paragon paths, etc.) that make it even worse.

The Peace of Riga was not signed "under duress". The Soviet Union never even protested the terms, unlike the Germans at Versailles. Moreover, again - if the Soviet Union hated the treaty so much, then why did they ALSO sign a non-aggression pact with the Poles a few years later? Are you n...

So one upshot of this discussion is that Swordslinger and especially Winnah are not allowed to use "dissociated" ever. Good to know. When someone says that movespam reduces immersion because it mentally disengages the player over a long period of time they are correct. If someone says that...

I'd say move spam reduces immersion too. I can't picture a guy in a movie doing nothing but repeating the same move every action. Imagine watching a Bruce Lee movie and Bruce did nothing but spam leg sweeps the entire movie. It would suck, and I don't want my adventures to play out like that. Would...

Because such distinctions are in fact important. The Nazi regime is specifically reviled not only because it is part of recent memory, as some would claim, but because of the systematic genocide of millions of people is a very specific moral wrong that is hugely frowned upon by civilization.
