Re: The Wish Economy in Eberron
1175540074[/unixtime]]Artificers break the wish economy because of Retain Essence. They can wish for a 15,000 gp magic item, and then they drain that item into their craft reserve. Do this enough times and they can make anything , 15,000 gp limit be damned. [br]I thought one of the important aspect...

Re: The "Basic," "Test-Bed," "Restricted," or "Simple" Campa
Yeah that's basically what powerful build does. [br][br]Also IMO it may not have been necessary to drop light blindness down to sensitivity since blindness only actually blinds you for the first round you're exposed to bright light and is thereafter treated as sensitivity. Similarly I don't see it a...

Re: The "Basic," "Test-Bed," "Restricted," or "Simple" Campa
You described true orc skin as being as thick as an elephant's, so give them natural armor. I would also suggest slapping on powerful build and a powerful charge racial ability, somewhere in the neighborhood of 1d10 or 2d6.

1174347854[/unixtime]]Some guy there has a "feature point" system for evaluating LA that charges *less* for ability boosts than for +1 Natural Armor or Speak with Burrowing Mammals 1/day, and everyone there treats it like the New Testament. [br]I can't stand that guy's ridiculous "fe...

Re: Magic: the Gathering
1174173116[/unixtime]]Alright, with that explained I can accept +1 to all saves on odd (character) levels, and +1 to one save of your choice each level. [br]That sounds nice and balanced, and customizable.[br][br] 1174173116[/unixtime]]Now, people probably want to go up one level for each adventure...

Second hand trap story:[br][br]Party discovers a trap. Most of party tries to do clever stuff. Barbarian gets impatient after a little bit of time and walks on pressure plate. Some arrows fly at him, some of which hit, for a total of 1 damage after DR. Barbarian jumps up and down on pressure plate ...

Re: Wizard Design
Divination Specialized, give up Enchantment if you don't especially want mind slaves, otherwise drop Evocation. Lore Master sounds like it fits your concept, but Mage of the Arcane Order would also work well for a scholarly mage and is generally a bit better; In addition to Geometer of course.[br][b...

There's a plane that equates six seconds in the Prime Material to a whole day? And I thought the Planar Shepard getting 10 rounds worth of actions per round was ridiculous, 14400 just makes my head hurt.

Re: Good tactics and spells for fighting dragons?
Since you aren't at the level where you can cast minor creation the dragons you'll be fighting (hopefully) won't be Young Adults or older, meaning a ray of enfeeblement, especially when empowered, will beat the hell out of the bugger's melee damage; and will basically always take effect since the dr...

Incarnates do it with zeal.
Totemists do it like beasts.
Bards do it with style.
Binders never do it alone.

Re: Not related to P&P gaming: Problems with MMO Gaming
1171498607[/unixtime]]Yeah, MMORPGs do all they can to make you not feel like a hero. At all. [br][br]Like technomancer said, as you level, you get relatively weaker and weaker. It becomes harder to solo stuff, and you have to group to take out even single monsters. Try to fight more than one monst...
