Very nice.
There's probably some Celerity tricks you can run with your familiar casting this spell as well. Via Imbue Familiar with Spellcasting Spell and the new PHB-2 feat that grants familiar with small level spells.

Re: Build me a magical rogue!
If you take my pure spellcaster/trickster route, you can convert your bad BAB (+10 / 20 Levels) into average BAB (+15 / 20 Levels) by having your weapons use the magical weapon enhancement that does just that. I'm away from books at the moment, but I believe that enhancement is either in the Complet...

Re: The New "Celerity" Spells (PHB2) = Wizardly Fun & Rules
Good call .. I'll poke around and see how to best resolve that.
Also, now that I think about it, a recent sourcebook outright stated that Immediate Action or Swift Action spells now *definitely* take 1 standard action to cast if done so through a device. Bleh.

The New "Celerity" Spells (PHB2) = Wizardly Fun & Rules Weir
PHB2 - pg. 105 ... Check out the 3 Celerity spells. The sexiest and most interesting one for multi-tasking abuse being the middle one (4th level).[br][br]First off, its "interrupt" rules as an Immediate Action spell will no doubt cause rules arguments galore in regards to initiative order ...

Not sure if you have the Unearthed Arcana book, but if you do, the generic class section (around pg. 77) has the Spellcaster core class.[br][br]Spellcaster 10 / Arcane Trickster 10[br][br]You get 20 spellcaster levels (9th level spells and you can chose from any spellcaster class).[br][br]Up to +8d6...

Re: Mathematically Proving That Fighters Suck
I have to look at it some more, but I'm more interested in the incremental power curve of the build/concept from levels 1 through 20. A level-by-level evolution analysis would be more helpful. Or even levels 1-5 / 6-10 / 11-15 / 16-20 if that is too detailed.[br][br]Isolated spotlighting on one 20th...

Within a given campaign world, what constitutes "evil" changes as you move from one geographical locale to the next (assuming that your campaign world is a myriad array of socio-cultural subgroups).[br][br]For example, in the Forgotten Realms, "evil" actions run the full spectrum...

Re: What's to stop you from declaring yourself as being evil
The unfortunate thing about being True Neutral, is that you are somewhat forced into providing a balance of good and evil actions into order to maintain and enforce your on-the-fence alignment. [br][br]It just pays to be listed as Evil.[br][br]Then you can act anyway you want some 95% of the time. T...

I still don't have PHB2, but I'll take a stab at what I think might work well with the Beguiler.[br][br]1. Minbender-1 (CA) + Mindsight Feat (LoM) = This should be extremely easy for a Beguiler to enter into. Good FORT Save, 100' Telepathy (for charm combos), plus the brokenness of Mindsight. All go...

Re: PHB II: The Review
Then it looks like the Beguiler is a prime candidate to take the easy-&-awesome combo of Mindbender-1 + Mindsight feat (the latter is from the LoM book).

And ... I'm hoping to get PHB-II this weekend.

Good read, K.
That's interesting that you dig the Beguiler. Just how similar is Beguiler to say, the Arcane Trickster or a Bard? I'm assuming it can scout as well.

Re: PHB-2 ... early list of contents nearly 2 weeks early.
I agree, Elusive Target is horrible. About the last thing a 16th level Fighter needs is an improvement to AC ... which is something he is already sufficiently good at providing himself. As a Ftr-16, you already suck at nearly everything else except for BAB, AC and some lukewarm feat enhancements.[br...

Re: 3.5 Annoys Me Anew
A lot too depends on your party composite and your specific role-&-schtick. Since you seem to like the Wiz Sword concept, 1+ Rounds of self-buffing (at your current level) will be viable in some party composites, but not others. That's assuming, you are fighting the good fight 3-5 times per day.

Assessing the value of Sudden Metamagic Feats
Starting with the Miniatures Handbook and progressing into the Complete Arcane sourcebook, the Sudden Metamagic feats have been the source of a lot of buzz and debate fodder.[br][br]Except for a few utilitarian metamagic feats (like Extend Spell), I rarely see the value in meta feats. People who play optimized non-spellcaster combatants hardly ever play mono-classed builds.
