Design wise, D&D4, D&D5 and Path2 share the same issue: there was absolutely no compelling reason to modify the core system, and the new core systems they use aren't as mechanically robust and don't offer as much gameplay space as 3.x. It's utterly inexcusable for D&D4 and Path2. In both...

Stumbled upon this little gem... https://www.reddit.com/r/Pathfinder2e/comments/9b5saq/insight_into_paizos_choice_of_mechanics_to/ tl;dr: "Oh, by the way, our playtest that was supposedly about making sure our well-thought-out, intensely tested new system worked as awesome as we designed? Well,...

Quick suggestion: instead let's have a retcon where Fire*Wolf looked at the blades, then at his character sheet, and said "Nope." and returned to the central room without that coin.

Then go to Exit 1.

In my case it was just to move to content faster by making sure there wasn't a tie.

No time to parse the clue though.

If it's just wanting to play, go digital with MTGO. All the old cards are easy to get (not always cheap, but always cheaper than in paper & availability is pretty much guaranteed.) As an added bonus you don't have to deal with the endemic cheating and better yet, you don't actually need to inter...

Less than 1% max health seems a fair price not to have to deal with light bullshit for IIRC 4 books?

Pay the price.

So I'm way too busy to go fuck around in Paizo's mess of a message board right now.

Is the actual playtest feedback similar to what we're discussing here, or is it just a giant circlejerk of "this feels incredibly new/nostalgic/erotic" with one or two discordant voices?

Sure, fight. This series I read once and I don't recall much about it... other than the translation into French removed most of the tone and went with a dryer gamebook style. A net loss overall though at least the translation cut down a lot on the "what do you want to do, you dumbass barbarian ...

I'm going to throw in a vote for using the Globe, just so we move forward. Besides, due to this book's gimmick I think it's better to fend off our hoard-the-Elixirs instincts in order to benefit from maximum horrible deaths content.

I will not vote on actual route picks however.

I guessed them all. Brujah and Ventrue because they're actually sorta in the ballpark of what they should look like (rebels and trust-fund hipsters, respectively), Gangrel because of the stupid amount of fur, Toreador just because of the stereotypical I-do-crafts look of the girls, and Malkavian bec...

Dropping alignment and just having an [evil] tag on things like devils, free-willed bad undeads, ancient lizard monstrosities and Ted Cruzes/Zodiac Killers would work so much better. Even the Paladins should comply with laws bit would work better without the goddamn system. Sure, NPC paladins look a...

Yeah, that one is kind of done. It's really a two-playthrough book, you need to know where to grab the right instakills for the otherwise unbeatable bosses.

Kind of excited to see the next book - it was my first gamebook and I wonder how well it'll hold.
