OgreBattle So RPG Bundles are a thing, and I've been enjoying Bundles of Holding site, currently have a RIFTS Bundle , I was wondering if it was worthwhile to buy? I've never read RIFTS, so don't know how many supplements there are, or even the books that are worth getting to read (but never played...

I know we've spoken of sales about 5e already, its speculation as well. How about this, since people recently talking about the sales mark of Tabletop RPG's, but includes 5e pretty often: http://www.enworld.org/forum/showthread.php?563442-How-big-s-the-RPG-market I'm not posting this to cause any is...

I read the book a long damn time ago and can't remember what was good or bad about it other than it was really crunchy. Since it's been over a year, mind telling us how your game went? Wish I could, but it was a classic case of a campaign that never got off the ground on the DM's end, so I never go...

So...did this Thread ever go anywhere? It took me a minute to realize this thread wasn't actually current to this month. Based on the negative reaction I got from one denner, I'm not gonna like, require anyone to buy the game (someone felt like they were being scammed when I mandated they buy the bo...

I would not actually advise running Tome, as it's kinda a mess. Several of the specific rules are good, but then you see the Fighter, Feats, Book of Gears being written by five different non-communicating authors, etc. Don't do it. It's not worth it. Very much worth the lesson in Player Empowerment...

You prepare Animate Dead in all your slots. When you get a 4th level spell slot, you cast it as a 3rd level spell and as a 4th level spell. And you do this every day to continue controlling your army every day or replacing fallen soldiers with new ones. Because bounded accuracy assures us that havi...

Did Animate Dead spell get errata'd to be Concentration at all? My more pertinent question however, given Spell's Description , how do you maintain having 100 or more Skeletons at 11th level, or even the 24 you have at 6th? (Numbers claimed according to this ) As I imagine if you can't maintain cont...

I seriously conflated the name of that game with This One, because apparently I feel like they're the same idea (D&D in space). I recall space being a thing in that game as well, so surely could take the ideas that worked (if any) from there?

Isn't there also the Planar Shepherd who can get a time bubble where get he gets like 10 turns for every 1 round everyone else gets, or even longer? So he can just cast a gallon of spells or some other nonsense and murder the party? That's a more faceable, overpowered god I would imagine? He could a...

Tyranny invented that whole hyperlink thing which, while neat, makes dialogue look like wikipedia articles. Given Tyranny is the first time I've ever played this kind of gameplay, or RPG of this sort (closest is turn-based with like Dead State), but I don't see Dialogue looking like Wikipedia or wh...

Dogbert I like your Terminology you use, and what you support for RPG's. However, when you use odd wordings for things, do make sure to explain, link, or otherwise some way we can reference it quickly enough for sake of conversation. I was starting to get a bit confused on what is Passive-Aggressiv...

It would be nice to have Street Sams be more like Diablo 2 Barbarians, that is, moving in fast and hitting a bunch of foes with their attacks. Which, to save on table time, you really could just put that into one attack roll, likely with an associated penalty to represent the difficulty of hitting a...

It could be simple. Each side rolls their dice pool. Matches cancel each other out. Dice that remain are successes. It almost seems like it's predetermined even in that situation though as to who has the higher dice pool. That sounds like a problem, especially if we want to represent the party figh...

Also I can't take credit for the system since Frank literally pulled the core idea out of his ass while commenting on TEOTW. True, but you can totally still design the game with a thanks or props to him in mind, even if you're a making shoddy profit from it (if at all). Regardless, thanks again Fra...

Definitely sounds like a cool idea for a campaign, makes me wonder why not simply use Disgaegame? Regardless I'd totally play in a game like this, and I do like the set-up of there being a tense balance, so that it can be disrupted by the PC's. t what point do the PC's start to matter in regards to ...
