People do make guns using 80% lowers. It's not even comparable to zip guns in terms of ease and safety. It's mostly because 80% lowers are inexpensive, nothing criminal about it.

Every time anyone brings up gun control measures of any kind, someone brings up the stupid idea that they wouldn't work because people could do elaborate home manufacture of firearms or some shit. And you know what? That's a stupid idea. An obviously discredited idea. The reality is that people don...

As I understand it, Indiegogo lets you keep what you gathered at the end, even if you didn't reach your goal. Could be wrong.

I had a pair of stupid/clever ideas and I'd like you to tell me how stupid they are. 1. Gun buyback programs are great, but they won't happen in America. What if the government set up an optional buyback and made resale of guns to anyone else illegal? It seems like this could do something to preven...

That would be neat, but I'd rather the Olympics stop their attempt at eliminating wrestling from the olympics. It's fucking wrestling, an actual old-school Olympic event rather than say, synchronized swimming.

Being a pallbearer sucks, but it has to be done. Carried 3 or 4 coffins so far, including my mother's last year. And indeed, modern coffins are heavy. Also, in a few hours it'll be one year since I watched my mother die in the Oshawa Hospital. Got some booze today to prepare. Visited the grave, so I...

So, I went to the first competition night of Ignite Durham 2015 like I mentioned previously. There were some seriously talented teams in that competition, let me tell you. Definitely gained a lot from the experience. In any case, my presentation started fine, but I choked and my mind went blank abou...

So, been accepted into the Ignite 2015 competition. I go to a lesson/seminar on elevator pitches on the 22nd, then there's a pitch competition on the 30th.

Now I just need to figure out how to clue in the judges about what the fuck roleplaying games are and the needs I'm filling are.

Well, I applied to to a startup contest by something called The Spark Centre, out here in Ontario. Some contest called IGNITE where you give a pitch and stuff, presumably pseudo-Dragon's Den style? Could get like, 50k for my business if I ever won. Guess I'll find out if I'm accepted in a week or so...

Is there a software people used for dungeon maps? Like, oldschool black (or blue) and white grids. I know IRL you'd use graph paper, but I imagine that works less well for actual publishing.

How does Grandia II compare to the original? Tried buying it for PC over a decade ago, but my PC wouldn't run it.

Potion Belts from the FR Campaign Setting (3.0) should do the trick, somewhat anyway. Basic one carries six potion bottles and you quickdraw as a free action as a perk. Masterwork ones up the storage capacity to 10.

Anybody know any good freelancers for layout and design? I've found some pre-made templates online, but most suck or just don't quite fit what I'm going for. Trying to find someone that can do the exterior and interior design on some modules/books.

I enjoyed it a lot. It was one of the two films I saw shortly after my mother's death last year (that and The Book of Life). The movie was wonderfully violent and cathartic for me. The whole thing is a love letter to 90s action movies and blood operas.

Would a Mister Freeze style coolant suit be more energy efficient than a central heat and air system? There are some Japanese air-cooled clothing types out there. They have a small fan that blasts air into the shirt. I also recently saw a peltier-based heating/cooling vest, but I don't think that i...

Now that Dungeon and Dragon are gone, what other "big" RPG and tabletop magazines are there? White Dwarf?

Not sure where TTRPG companies really advertise anymore.
