Those are much better, especially the Retail and Journalism versions.

I might suggest putting your store management and ad sales blocks at the bottom of the culinary one as well, because you have space to fill there and they seem the most broadly applicable/bragworthy.

I don't know what things you're applying for. It's possible that this is optimized for your local area and/or specific field. Otherwise, I can't pick out anything you're trying to say with those resumes. What are you good at that someone who hires people would care about? Lead with that. Maybe try s...

Canadians can have non-risible opinions about human rights sometime after y'all decriminalize speech that might hurt someone's feelings. Until then, it's just sad trombone noises.

I think he was pointing at Manning, not Assange. Manning is also a bad example. Everything I'm aware of that might have been torture in another context came from specific threats of suicide (e.g. when you say "I'm going to hang myself using my clothes," your jailers will take all of your c...

But the thing about people turning into Apes for having unpopular political views is crazy in the way of "if implemented at the table is almost certain to result in friends refusing to talk to each other if not actual fist fights." It's an idea so bad that it would probably crash and burn...

I don't like singular they, but it's more a preference for canonical correctness. Also, we already lost the second person singular; it's a shame we're throwing away third person too.

The urine color thing is a good test. You can teach a kid to work with that one. Two notes on this: One, some drugs affect urine color (looking at you, Phenazopyridine). Two, some things you don't think of as drugs affect kidney function. Specifically booze and caffeine. Booze makes your kidneys le...

Way, way, way back, "man" meant human, and male and female were distinguished by wer-man and wif-man (or something similar; look it up if the exact obsolete prefix matters to you). That's evolved since then, but 'mankind' is cognate of the modern 'man,' not a derivative. TL;DR: No. Anyone ...

That's true. But they also are having a problem with people passing around pirated copies of South Korean soap operas and watching them on laptops (which breaks their cultural monopoly), so they obviously have more than mud huts in some areas.

I read some of it once and was amused, but it never clicked that he was the author. Neat.

Really? You believe that a neverending "euphoric haze of perfect, absolute happiness" is the best outcome?

Because if you really believed that, you'd get high and commit suicide. Any other action puts the lie to your claim.

In that case the question is again meaningless, because everyone can go to heaven (modulo Calvinism), and there's a relatively simple instruction manual for getting there.

Imagine a world where the worst thing that ever happened to anyone was paper-cuts. In that world, you would instead be asking why an all-knowing, all-loving, all-powerful god would fail to intervene to prevent paper-cuts. If we lived in Hieronymous-Bosch-World, you would ask why we couldn't spend mo...

@Prak
I had some similar issues, which went away when I started wearing looser pants. Sometimes simple answers work.
(I also have at least one family member (in much better shape than I) with the same issue who solved it by going gluten free, but that seems less likely to generalize.)
