Sorry about that...

The class now gets trapfinding and trap sense, and a way to deal extra damage to armored opponents.

Just a heads up... Your post is pregnant... When you miss that many periods it's just a given.

I really hope they're being sarcastic. If not we'll need some emo posters from CeilingCat.

I scrolled down a bit and saw an example of a dagger affixed to a mace. That's silly you say? Apparently someone didn't think so, Reaper actually has a cleric mini with that particular weapon. (And this is my horrid attempt to paint him.)

Emo isn't right for this situation. We need something more like...

The Indians (not Native Americans, I'm reffering to Indians from India) had maces like that.

Smaller daggers though, but the metal hand holding a dagger was definately something that I've seen in a weaponry collection book.

Then again the 'mace' is really an extension of the arm, more leverage and an expendable 'fist' that you won't worry too much about if it hits some guy wearing armour. There were some 'normal' scupted hands at the end of some of maces, but some also had small daggers in them.
The Gaming Den; where Mathematics are rigorously applied to Mythology.

While everyone's Philosophy is not in accord, that doesn't mean we're not on board.

Oh man, what a steamer. And the first two replies are hilariously awful too.

That thread is full of tardery. Not likeing X is fine, posting illogical explanations means you've found a way to take something purely subjective and be objectively wrong.

It's a freaking dice game. Any class can be described as 'lucky or dead'.

More Iron Siege Madness

Everything you do arbitrarily fails!

This is classic Gygaxian DMing right here.

That thread is hilarious. Shouldn't people be getting a lot more automatic 20s?

Also, why does contestant #3 have +7 to initiative? That's stupid.

No, that's just Planescape inspired "fuck the PCs in the ass" style DMing.

This guy is playing 'I Win!' with these people, and they're OK with it. lol.

I'm thinking maybe I should post the fact that there's a loop hole he set up in the rules and get people to stop posting. Then report him to the moderators.

What loop hole is that? The one where winning disqualifies you from the contest? 'Cause WotC loves that shit there.

Oh yeah, and I love how he doesn't tell you the results of your rolls. It's almost as if he's just declaring that you fail without rolling dice.

I fucking hate Dicefucks.

I got a chuckle out of the fact that within the first page he rolls a check for a "player" and says that since the player's 29 doesn't beat his 29 the ability fails. Aside from the weight of wrongness in the very framing of that thought, resistance or a defender's roll sets a DC for an action, and meeting a DC means that the action is successful. So this isn't even a generous reading of some ability, it's just incorrect.

Except for that this version of Dispater probably has the salient divine ability of cheating at D&D, so it's cool.

Does this mean you've figured out why the tower is fucking immune to everything? Because I've read that passage like 10x and can't figure out why the tower can't be destroyed. Its just iron.

I mean, I want to humor him and play ball, but that's just crazily craptastic.

Yeah, lol.

Anyone ask him yet why it can't be destroyed? I think he just made that part up.

Apparently it's explicitly stated somewhere, only it's not stated and only implied.

Don't ask why I bothered looking this up:
The Gates of Hell wrote:Deities of rank 1 or higher do not automatically fail
on a natural attack roll or saving throw roll of 1. Lesser
and more powerful deities (rank 6–20) may take 10 on
any check, provided they need to make a check at all.
Greater deities (rank 16–20) may take 10 on any d20
rolls they make.

By the way, is it just me who thinks there's an editing error there?
