My son makes me laugh. Maybe he'll make you laugh, too.

15:05 Jeremy: the Hidden Intentions cover was changed, the final cover was changed, we had a new graphic commissioned, we posted about it up on Facebook and our forums... so I'm curious as to why I've had this now from multiple sources just now.
as far as I can tell, the only place the file wasn't fixed as at the Paizo site for the subscription only (which is no longer available) - which I've gone ahead and fixed.

As for the Musical about me life... same book, different page (257, to be precise):The Mongrelman.

Shit. This is what I get for having my brother's old 2E books lying around; 2nd Edition is ruining my life.
Although, it could be worse, I suppose. I could've gotten the prostitute encounter table from the 1E DM guide.
Maybe I should stop letting Tim Beach and Doug Stewart guide my life.
(speaking of which, Gary Gygax isn't listed in the special thanks section of the Monsterous Manual or the DM guide. I thought it was interesting...)

People will probably still be complaining months down the road. You can't do much about pdfs that have already been downloaded and possibly torrented. It's enough to make the matter laugh-worthy to me at least.Bigode wrote:Avoraciopoctules wrote:

So, I decided to try my luck again with another masterpiece of 2nd Edition love. This time, the DM guide, specifically the bit detailing how to handle custom PC races.Prak_Anima wrote:

Peculiar properties of spacetime ensure that the perception of the magnitude of Soon is fluid and dependent, not on an individual's time-reference, but on spatial and cultural location. A marketer generally perceives Soon as a finite, known, yet unspeakable time-interval; to a fan, the interval appears greater, and may in fact approach the infinite, becoming Never. Once the interval has passed, however, a certain time-lensing effect seems to occur, and the time-interval becomes vanishingly small. We therefore see the strange result that the same fragment of spacetime may be observed, in quick succession, as Soon, Never, and All Too Quickly.

Nice riff off of Mark Twain, but it seems a bit dated considering that 'txtspk' is currently used by millions.Stahlseele wrote:

For some time now, social and cultural advances have been more acurately predicted by humorists, anyway. Mad Magazine predicted reality shows in what should be the 60's or 70's. I need to find that edition again.CatharzGodfoot wrote:Nice riff off of Mark Twain, but it seems a bit dated considering that 'txtspk' is currently used by millions.Stahlseele wrote:

Half of them are from Gen5, so that's understandable if you haven't played it.
From left to right:
Nick Fury- Scraggy (this is the best part, I think)
Loki- Zoruark
Hulk- Shiny Ursaring (yep, shiny ursarings are actually green)
Thor- Raichu
Captain America- Braviary (the most obvious choice, though sadly it can't learn Fling)
Iron Man- Scizzor (Steel type scyther evo)
Hawkeye- Swellow
Black Widow- Meinshao
edit: As cool as the pic is, that lineup is actually kind of lack lustre, since there are a number of types it can't counter with a strong STAB move. Also the fact that three have a normal type means that three slots are essentially wasted...

The toll of bad transit policies and worse infrastructure—trains and buses that don’t run well and badly serve low-income neighborhoods, vehicular traffic that pollutes the environment and endangers the lives of cyclists and pedestrians—is borne disproportionately by black and brown communities."
