That's the first Dune thing that's ever looked interesting to me...
Cuz apparently I gotta break this down for you dense motherfuckers- I'm trans feminine nonbinary. My pronouns are they/them.

You should gain sanity for finding out that the problems of a region are because there are fucking monsters there.

Peculiar properties of spacetime ensure that the perception of the magnitude of Soon is fluid and dependent, not on an individual's time-reference, but on spatial and cultural location. A marketer generally perceives Soon as a finite, known, yet unspeakable time-interval; to a fan, the interval appears greater, and may in fact approach the infinite, becoming Never. Once the interval has passed, however, a certain time-lensing effect seems to occur, and the time-interval becomes vanishingly small. We therefore see the strange result that the same fragment of spacetime may be observed, in quick succession, as Soon, Never, and All Too Quickly.
I always wonder why having a HP bar pisses people off when guns are involved but they are fine with taking 100 sword stabs in the eye.

That picture is clearly a criticism of the prevalent red screen + regenerating health system, not the concept of HP bars. It's a criticism of Call of Duty, not Deus Ex.ishy wrote:I always wonder why having a HP bar pisses people off when guns are involved but they are fine with taking 100 sword stabs in the eye.

I actually prefer regenerating resource systems for action games, mostly because anytime anything is appreciably finite I hoard it. If there is a finite amount of healing available, I will spam the hell out of quickload until every segment is nearly flawless. If there is a finite amount of mana or whatever available, you may as well have never given me powers in the first place. If there is a finite amount of ammo drops available, I will melee or always use the basic ammo-is-plentiful gun.
I also like what the recent entries in the Far Cry series have done, in which recovery is an action you have to take during which you can't fight back. It's a decent compromise between "resources are finite" and "bitch I'm the motherfucking Wolverine." I wish games like Bioshock and Dishonored would adopt a system like that for their "mana."

i can only name 2 of the bottom.
1st on the Left is, of course, Magnus.
But they should have made her more a nerd than . . fake monstrosity.
3rd from the left is Mortarion, simply because of the colour and face mask.

The bottom is a bit confusing in parts because it mostly uses pre-Heresy colors. Magnus is noted for physical mutation and being huge even by Primarch standards, and hence has the "intimidating but kindly and shy huge schoolgirl" character design.
Top:Leman Russ, Jaghatai Khan, Vulkan, Ferrus Manus, Sanguinus, Roubette Guliman, Lion El'Jonson, Rogal Dorn, Corax.
Bottom: Magnus, Angron, Mortarion, Fulgrim, Horus, Lorgar, Konrad Curze, Perturabo, Alpharius/Omegon
