There's actually been a long discussion about that.Shrapnel wrote:I was unaware that it was ever even a matter of debate...?Count Arioch the 28th wrote:The question of whether traps are gay has now been settled.

The core issue of course is that some drag queens go for a very elaborate drag esthetic, but others simply emulate our society's concept of feminity as closely as they can. And of course, some people are very good at things they spend a lot of time practicing, so there are drag queens who are beautiful by the standards our society applies to women. People who aren't particularly confident in their own sexuality get really torn up about this extremely obvious fact.
Yes, there are people who have XY chromosomes who project the appearance of being beautiful women. Heck, because of androgen insensitivity and intersex development, there are people who have XY chromosomes who simply are beautiful women. It's not something that people should worry about. The whole concept of gender and sexuality is a social construct and people do not easily fit into strict binary categories. This really bothers some people.
But the real bottom line is this: "If you would masturbate to a drawing of a women, why should it bother you that you get aroused by a man dressed as a woman?" Neither one of those things have female genitals you could inseminate, but both of them have the appearance of the female social construct.
