I vote to use a sling in order to weaken the giant before slaughtering it with a sword.

Kind of silly to enter melee with a giant if we're given the option to fight at range. Use the sling.

You place an iron ball in the sling and twirl it around your head before releasing it at the Frost Giant. Test your Skill. A 9 succeeds.

The iron ball flies through the air and hits the Frost Giant on the temple. His huge frame crumples to the floor like a house of cards. The wooden chest he was lifting breaks open, spilling its contents. You find three ornate rings and a cracked bottle which emits a sweet, scented odor.

Try on one of the rings?
Walk through to the next tunnel?

You soon arrive at a crossroads in the tunnel. However, you have no time to examine the left and right branches, as a strange humanoid is advancing toward you from straight ahead.

Before you stands a CRYSTAL WARRIOR, one of the Snow Witch's personal guardians who has been sent to deal with you. He (I would think an "it" is implied here, but I guess the Snow Witch made him anatomically correct) is made of quartz which has been animated by the Snow Witch's sorcery. Edged weapons will not harm the Crystal Warrior--your sword is useless! However you do have a warhammer and so you can fight him.

CRYSTAL WARRIOR Skill 11 Stamina 13

Round Two: Robert 16, Crystal Warrior 19. Robert is at 10 Stamina.
Round Three: Robert 20, Crystal Warrior 19. Crystal Warrior is at 11 Stamina.
Round Four: Robert 20, Crystal Warrior 15. Crystal Warrior is at 9 Stamina.
Round Five: Robert 20, Crystal Warrior 21. Robert is at 8 Stamina.
Round Six: Robert 18, Crystal Warrior 16. Crystal Warrior is at 7 Stamina.
Round Seven: Robert 14, Crystal Warrior 16. Robert is at 6 Stamina and will now use Luck to inflict damage.
Round Eight: Robert 17, Crystal Warrior 17.
Round Nine: Robert 16, Crystal Warrior 19. Robert is at 4 Stamina.
Round Ten: Robert 22, Crystal Warrior 18, Luck Test succeeds with an 11. Crystal Warrior is at 3 Stamina, Robert is at 10 Luck.
Round Eleven: Robert 16, Crystal Warrior 16.
Round Twelve: Robert 18, Crystal Warrior 16, Luck Test succeeds with an 8. Victory.

You step over the pieces of broken quartz that were once the Crystal Warrior, and carry on along the tunnel until it ends at a T-junction.

I suggest eating 2 meals (so we are a 4 less stamina than total and don't waste random healing if we find it) and go left I guess.
