Well, it is now. Even a character-specific subsystem that's functional would be cool, but an actually-good crafting system would be fantastic.

Yeah, more explanation here. I really should finish my incomplete projects, but I'm not sure if that's what you are asking for.
I was trying to inspire something new. So far, I think any character that interacts with dragons has a special ability to ride them, and is otherwise a fighter. That is a terrible class featureset! That's like being a fighter "who can breathe air", except you also have to beg the DM for air.
I'm not sure if there's a way to make dragon dragoons not suck though. I'm not holding my breath for it either, but it seemed like a challenge.
