Reminds me of one of Monte Cook's rants about people comparing his games to already existing works.

Sorry, can't get behind that. Using common terms for reference purposes is good. It makes discussions easier, and people will keep doing it. While there will always be people that just won't get a term right, we won't stop just because of them.

It is amusing to me that known trolls hate common terms because it makes Loki's Wager arguments impossible.

Here is another one: "Martials." I think 4rries are to blame for that. It's easily one of the dumbest D&D terms in history.

There is nothing wrong with common terms. Common terms are totally sweet, in principle. The only problem is when the common terms are stupid, like "Skillmonkey" or "Toon."
