Little surprised that Faust hasn't seen any use in Earthrite decks, but honestly, not seen *that* many Earthrite decks in ranked.

There's so many insta-kills you can play after Faust hits the board that his ability basically wastes one of your sigils. Has a similar problem as that sigil eating giant that dies to scythers

Silverblade golem is safer as the cards go to your hand that you'll probably play next turn due to PP limits, but that's slower than spellboost's "fuckin' die this turn" chimera. "Create monster boardstate" is also easier with d-shift, daria, ginger, than an earthrite focused deck that only has faust and dancer.

So the new expansion is out and I've played some of with the new version of Spellboost Rune. There was a little worry over losing Smol Chimera but the fact that Fates Hand is back alongside the new 2pp removal spells makes up for it. The deck lost the old backup plan of vomiting out bunch of Flame destroyers and chimeras in the midgame. But the Giant Chimera plan is now much better especially given how the format seems to have slowed down.

I've also opened a 2 Zooey and 2 Adramelech which I assume is the universe telling me it's a good idea to play Linworm. Like I'm all for any play where you get to play the minimum number of creatures.

Meanwhile in unlimited Golden Casket makes Atomy that little bit more hilarious. Haven't tried to build-build anything for rotation yet given I didn't get the last of the gacha leaders from Dawnbreak before Brigade came out so I'm a bit conflicted about spending coins on Brigade yet.

...the fuck am I kidding Spinaria is now a Portal gacha leader so obviously I need to open Brigade packs too.

The recent sets were weighted towards Spellboost because the almost all the best spellboost cards were in sets that have since Rotated. But too be fair the backbone of Burn Rite was tempest cards so they should have put more Dirt support in brigade. Hopefully the next set will correct this. If there's anyway consolation I'm pretty sure the other spellboost legendary Arulumaya is going to be the replacement for Oz when she rotates. Aru is less explosive because she doesn't discount spells but her effect recurs and if there isn't some kind of aggro rune deck that exploits her in the next year I'll be extremely surprised.

So I've been still drifting in and out of Shadoverse. I'd say that they've managed to avoid repeating the mistakes they made with Wonderland Dreams. They've even managed to do what they were trying to do with that set (take a theme that's anchored in a set of neutral cards and then have each craft take it in a different direction) without breaking the game.
