What's good in the errata?

Post by MrWaeseL »

Before I visited these boards, I never ever read the errata or FAQ. During my visits to these boards I learnt that there have been so many bad, vague and inconsistent rulings in both the FAQ and the errata that I'm loathe to read them at all, which leaves me in the position of not using them in the game, due to ignorance.

Now I ask you, people who have read the errata and FAQ and have a good understanding of it, what's good? What rulings actually make sense, bring unbalanced stuff in line, and make the game better overall, so to speak? What are the gems between the crap (if any)?

And is it stuff that I can't simply come up with myself? (I'm not the master of min-max, but I know enough not to use polymorph magic as written, and be wary of a PC who writes he's been level drained in the past in his background.)

And I have the same questions, but now pertaining to those articles Skip wrote, the only experience I have with them being the polymorph shenanigans.
