Grappling Ghosts

Post by virgil »

Creatures with the incorporeal subtype have a strength score of (-), and can still be influenced by physical attacks 50% of the time when magical or 100% of the time when Ghost Touched. What happens when you use this moment of tangibility with them to perform an opposed strength check, such as bullrushing or grappling? Am I missing something that prevents people from actually doing such, or are people with Ghost Touch fists able to grapple ghosts without a chance of resistance?

The second sentence seems to include Bull rushes.

Ghost Touch is a specific ability. It allows you to damage incorporeal foes 100% of the time, for incorporeal foes to move the weapon, and for them to attack with it. There is nothing there that allows you to override the incorporeal immunities.

Not all incorporeal creatures have a - for strength. Many have an original strength score which can be applied one ghost to another - just not on tangible objects.
