[3.X] New Simulacrum

Post by virgil »

First rendition

Simulacrum
School illusion (shadow); Level sorcerer/wizard 6
Casting Time 12 hours
Components V, S, M (ice sculpture of the target plus powdered rubies worth 1500gp)
Range 0 ft.
Effect one simulacrum
Duration instantaneous
Saving Throw none/special; Spell Resistance no
Simulacrum creates an illusory duplicate of any creature. The duplicate is partially real and formed from ice or snow. It appears to be the same as the original, and any saves to penetrate its glamered ability are against that of the spell itself.
At all times, the simulacrum remains under your absolute command. No special telepathic link exists, so command must be exercised in some other manner. A simulacrum has no ability to become more powerful. If reduced to 0 hit points or otherwise destroyed, it reverts to snow and melts instantly into nothingness. A complex process requiring at least 24 hours, 10gp per hit point, and a fully equipped magical laboratory can repair damage to a simulacrum.

Glamered (Su) The simulacrum is under the continuous effects of a misdirection & alter self spell to mimic that of its imprinted subject.
Imprinting (Su) When a subject is chosen, the simulacrum's mind and training shifts to that of the subject. The simulacrum is proficient in all the weapons, armor, and shields that the subject is; as well as any language spoken by the subject. In addition, it has the same spell list as the subject for purposes of its ability to use any spell triger or spell completion items.
