He jumps like a damned dragoon, and charges into battle fighting rather insane monsters with little more than his bare hands and rather nasty spell effects conjured up solely through knowledge and the local plantlife. He unerringly knows where his goal lies, he breathes underwater and is untroubled by space travel, seems to have no limits to his actual endurance and favors killing his enemies by driving both boots square into their skull. His agility is unmatched, and his strength legendary, able to fling about a turtle shell big enough to contain a man with enough force to barrel down a near endless path of unfortunates.

It looks like season 2's started, and we're already like 5 episodes in.

So, apparently, Nick decided to just dump the remaining 4 episodes tonight.

I feel kind of bad about:
... all of those old avatars being destroyed.

That being said, I'm pretty excited about more spirits. It's a little sad to be bored of bending in Avatar, so something new would be nice.

Yeah, I didn't predict that kind of an ending. I more or less expected them to have 2 arcs and give a definitive end of the series. Pretty smart writing as far as leaving another arc open. Just... what an odd ending.

Speaking as a die hard fan of both series, I didn't really like the ending. I know it makes sense for the setting, and I enjoyed it, but I still found myself laughing at how stupid it was. At least the world now has spirits in it so there might be something interesting for season 3. Also I hear that their getting the old writers from TLA back for seasons 3-4 so they might be better.

I was just sitting there through the ending like 'okay, Pacific Rim fight and random spiritual thing and we're done?'

I guess it was kind of like the lion turtle and spirit bending coming out of nowhere in the first series.

Which is good, because there were a lot of unexplained things there.

Just once, I would like the evil to lose because good is not dumb.

As this relates to Legend of Korra:
Why the fuck did they go into the spirit world. As long as one portal was closed, he would have stayed trapped. All they had to do was wait for goddam after the harmonic convergence to try to close the other portal, there was no fucking hurry.

Also, give up one person to death in order to fucking save the goddam fucking world from 10,000 years of darkness. Fuck Jenora.
As far as the shows quality, they fapped too hard to having like 500 epic confrontations and reversals in the last three episodes, so by the 15th one, I stopped giving a fuck and starting looking at the time to figure out if this one actually mattered.

Book 3 should just be "Bumi saves the fucking day" and focus on Bumi doing crazy shit and saving benders' asses with absolutely no bending powers of his own.

4chan last Sunday, so it likely will require some digging around on foolz.us to find the original thread.

EDIT: Found the thread again, the links in it appear to be dead, so I guess it's safe to post? Also, spoiler warning!

I saw them on animeflavor.com -but not subtitled, so unless your spanish is strong you'll probably have to search for fan-subbed versions instead.
I'd find some links, but I'm not really sure how fbmf would feel about that..

3-6 actually, but yeah, they do probably spoil episodes 1 and 2 a bit. On the other hand, it's two two-parters, so it at least doesn't end on much of a cliffhanger.

It's back! And it's Dragon Ball Z now. Why have a story when you can have even MORE POWERFUL villians to be beaten by and bend-ex-machina them at the end anyway?

*sigh* At least Korra isn't a bitchy, angsty teen anymore. So there is that. I wonder if the "change can be good or bad" thing was a self-aware reference to the change from Aang to Korra... this might be the first time I actually would prefer prequels to story continuation.

/tg/ has had a lot of threads about Avatar prequels lately. There's room for some good stories in the days when the Earth Kingdom was all warlords.
