It's an FPS RPG, which draws heavily on Tribes.
Free to play, and not pay to win (There are a few minor cosmetics you can buy. You can also pay instead of playing, but there's a cheaper way to not play.)
I like it, and have been playing a lot recently. It feels a lot like UT2k4 to me, and would probably feel like tribes if I had ever been halfway good at tribes. It's grindy, but the grind feels like playing CTF or assault. Whether that's good or not will likely depend on you.
