If Pokemon types had unique resource mechanics

Just brainstorming for fun. Some types could share mechanics with others, or a few moves could vary in mechanic.

Normal, Bug, Fighting: At-Will, Rage meter
Flying: Build up altitude, expend altitude for maneuvers
Ground, Ice: Essentia, put essentia into persistent effects like walls, shackles
Rock, Steel, Grass: Stances
Ghost, Fairy: Wheel of Fortune/Inspiration

Fire, Electric, Water: Build up charge, having charge activates some abilities, expend charge for big attacks
Psychic, Dragon: Drain, big moves have backlash and/or cooldowns
Dark, Poison: Warm-Up/Marking, observe foe to place marks and expend for attacks
