Codewords normally keep track of what has and hasn't happened. I'll be handling that aspect of the game, and will not mention the codeword for, e.g., "You are known to this member of the Friday gang" when you acquire it.

You have three dice which you can distribute as you please between Skill and Stamina. This is a less significant choice than it might have been had I not just rolled: 4, 4, 6.

Please vote on how to distribute starting stat dice, which two skills you know, and which weapon you have. As mentioned in the backstory, your character already has a name, Mathew Slade.

EDIT:

SKILL 12, STAMINA 20, although I think we'd be fine either way.

For skills, I vote Spontaneity, and Fast Draw.

Take the Schofeld.45. Having max SKILL means we can afford to capitalize on damage over aim with our weapon. However, if the others vote to start with 10 SKILL, then I vote Colt.45 for gun.

Fast Draw + Max SKILL + Max damage gives us a good chance to run around doing insta-gibs. Spontaneity sounds like the kind of skill to save us from insta-gibs.

I vote to give our hero 12 Skill and 20 Stamina, Tracking and Detection as the two skills, and the Smith and Wesson Schofield .45 as the starting revolver of choice.

12 skill and 20 stamina seems best. Spontaneity and Detection seem like good choices.

I don't have a game preference for guns, but while the Colt had a clever system where the cylinder pin (or arbor, if you prefer) rotated, and it was inside a little sleeve inside the cylinder, so you had to lock up 3 different parts to lock the cylinder to the frame, the S&W was a break open, rather than a gate loader, so I'll got for that, and justify that increased damage seems more important when we've got max skill.

Skill 12, Stamina 20 for stats. Smith and Wesson for gun. Spontaneity and Fast Draw seem like the most likely skills to be useful in a Western, so I vote for those.

Spontaneity and Detection. At skill 12, combat buffs are just gilding the lily, the extra blue choices are going to be more valuable.
