Sky Lord is kind of an extreme (and thus probably not the best) example since since it's actually more confusing and random than most FF books.

But yes, one of Mason's strengths is that his books tend to have a better narrative cohesion compared to most other authors, even when the game part of the book may not always have the best or fairest design.
