Alignments in Play (By Jason Nelson-Brown)

Post by User3 »

There is a nice 'how to deal with Alignment' article over on WotC.com:

If attempts to be true to alignment are seriously disrupting play, you as DM might have to resort to metagame solutions. Applying XP penalties, negative levels, or curses can go a long way toward keeping players from disrupting the game with unnecessary alignment-based arguments.

Yep, whenever I want a way to end in-character arguing, making it into OOC rage is my favorite tactic...

Actually, I find that curses work pretty well,

The toll of bad transit policies and worse infrastructure—trains and buses that don’t run well and badly serve low-income neighborhoods, vehicular traffic that pollutes the environment and endangers the lives of cyclists and pedestrians—is borne disproportionately by black and brown communities."

Awesome. Now there is official support to smack people with an xp penalty, a negative level or a debilitating curse if they happen to be argumentative. I guess maturity simply means 'exposed nipples' in WotC-speak.

I'm going to send retarded articles to WOTC as well and see if they'll print/post them.

Emoticons fail me on how bad this is.

Edit: I've found the words, and expressed my opinions.

I love the first reply.

Negative levels and curses are out of whack though

I accused imposter weasel of acting like a 7 year old girl in a later post.
