The Fishing Hamlet looks pretty cool so far (...but how is there a fishing village at the same level as a clocktower? I understand this is called the Hunter's Nightmare and dream logic may be the answer, but the geography has been pretty logical all throughout Yharnam. This seems on the ...

I appreciate the offer and will hit you up if I get seriously stuck. Currently working on the third DLC boss. I can reliably dodge or parry her attacks up until the final phase, but I can see the end in sight. I got her down to about 1/6th of her health bar twice last night. Of course, I'm down to 1...

I finally got a chance to start on the Old Hunters. I only played for about an hour so far and I'm suuuper rusty on Bloodborne, but I was able to pick up the first two DLC weapons... which I can't use because my character is specced to use Reiterpallasch and has shit for Strength (my original Hunte...

Sword Coast Legends has the dubious honor of being the first game I've returned on Steam. Total playtime? 42 minutes. Most of that time was spent looking through the module creation and wondering if anything about it wasn't total ass.

Spoiler: Module creation was total ass.

It's the only good katana in the original BG2. Don't know if EE added more. If you are using katanas this is the one a person would use throughout not just all of BG2 but also all of TOB (it can be upgraded in TOB). It is very good. I'm pretty sure the Celestial Fury upgrade is from this mod . I re...

I'm definitely under-leveled in that case. I've got 25 in Strength/Skill and around 30 in Endurance. 30 in Vitality too, I think. I've also got 18 in Bloodtinge because I wanted to use Evelyn, but that's useless in this fight. I'll play through NG+ for a while and level up some more before I take on...

Yes, I'm still on that Rom fight. I took forever on that fight and did it by murdering my way through the spiders first, for each stage. And hiding behind a pillar when Rom cast Meteor. Dunno how much that helps. That's more or less how I've been approaching it. I think my biggest weakness with tha...

I like how my opinion of Chalice Dungeons has gradually developed from "oh these are neat" to "fuck these things". I'm not sure I care enough about getting the Yharnam Stone to bother with them anymore. Yes, I'm still on that Rom fight. On the plus side, I started another charact...

Well I finally beat the Moon Presence. Not to imply that the Moon Presence was a hard boss or anything, just that I finally got around to beating it and the game. I also managed to get the Beast Claw out of Ailing Loran Layer 2, so I got the trophy for all weapons. Now I'm in NG+ and you're right, M...

Fighting Rom in the Lower Pthumeru chalice has made me realized how much I actually hate this boss. It wasn't so bad in the mandatory fight mainly because I was able to blitz him and cause him to teleport away, letting me just leave his spider posse in the dust. Having to fight Rom in a closed off r...

Back when I played on Xbox (before it bricked itself), I was getting about 10 or 15 FPS in Blighttown's upper level if the camera had too much to look at. In order for it to be playable, I basically had to look at the floor the whole time. I don't remember having trouble in any other area, but I als...

Right, so it seems that I should start with Dark Souls I, since that be the least frustrating and easiest to play. (Or at least, that's what I'm getting.) I'm assuming if that I ask which console is best for the game, people will tell me "PC". Not necessarily. The PC port is notoriously t...

I'm also gonna go with Dark Souls as the entry point. It worked for me. In other news, I finally scrounged together the time/energy to power through Ebrietas. I'm pretty sure she managed to kill me more times than all of the other bosses combined. When I finally figured out how to stay close to her,...

So aside from going offline, is it actually possible to beat the stupid nightmare place? Literally I get invaded the second the first invader dies. If you kill the bell maiden in that area, she doesn't respawn. You won't see another invader after that. IIRC, she's just a little bit after the two NP...

Thanks for tipping me on the 12-hour thing. I think my first go-round, I'd passed the mark. It kept doing the same three-hit combo. No problem. To misquote JFK horribly out of context, we do these things "not because they are easy, but because they are hard". I wasn't able to make it to t...

And then HOLY FUCK THE OLD MAN HAS SOME SWEET MOVES. Dammit. Why won't the game let you fight like that. Anyway. After I killed him--after several tries--I was approached by Something Else. It's called the Moon Presence. Uh. My buddy acted like Gehrman was the Final Boss. Anyone have a clue what th...

This is seriously depressing. Basically, if you leave Bloodborne suspended for 12+ hours, the game starts having trouble properly loading the bosses, basically neutering the fights. This happens even if your PS4 is in rest mode (which is what I do so the controller can charge). I found the option i...

After a cookout and between two much-needed naps, I got my Strength up high enough to use a cannon I found. It is impractical, but awesome. Takes ten Quicksilver bullets a shot, but mine's a +2 and it does over six hundred damage to the enemies walking around Yharnam. So yeah, I can see application...

Also, I'm now technically a member of the Vilebloods. Huzzah. Same here. I can also be a Hunter now after finishing Eileen the Crow's questline. I figure I'll play around a bit as a Vileblood (I think you get a gesture after ranking up once), but the Hunter bonus is stamina regen... which sounds wa...

I got through them on my first try mostly on the back of some amazing timings on my parries. I focused on the one with the katana first, then the one with the flaming katana, and then mopped up the guy with the mace. That was an intense fight. I ran into the first rapier hunchback in Cainhurst befor...
