I'm pretty sure that at least a few of the other finalists had their work published by 3rd-party companies. I think Dawnforge was one of them, for instance.[br][br][counturl=99]Link[/counturl][br][br]Oh, and here's a long-ass review, which should give you an idea of what it's like as a setting.[br][...

Hm, yes. Poorly organized thoughts. Redone.[br][br]1) The weapon-based feats still suck compared to magic-based feats.[br][br]2) The level-based scaling is incredibly uneven. The Attack Focus feat never improves at all. Plant Shaping improves in one way (level x40 feet radius of difficult ground) an...

The problem is that not everything scales to your level.[br][br]Attack Focus is still Weapon Focus: a +1 to hit. If it moves, has ever moved, or looks like it might once have thought about moving, someone who wants to make sweet love to it is using the internet to find other people who want to make sweet love to it.

I don't care if they go there, as long as they don't take me with them.

Speed factors. You need to bring back speed factors. Basically in 3E you can wield a longsword as fast as you can wield a greatsword. That's not right. That's more or less what I was trying to say, PhoneLobster, though my thoughts were scattered, so I'm not surprised it didn't communicate well.

I'm pretty sure FATE essentially charges extra for magic. There's a few suggested versions of it, but basically magic is also a Trait, which means that you have less other interesting things about you, and using magic costs Fate Points.
