Re: Being Good in D&D: this one's for you, K and Frank
Ilmater always struck me as a bit of a joke. He doesn't improve the life of his worshippers- he actively encourages them to make their lives *worse*. And, of course, in a high-powered setting like FR, encouraging your worshippers to be matyrs quickly means you don't have any. Because the literally ...

What's the problem with the "I write for losers" mindset? I don't really see it that way, I think of it more as "I write for people like myself" and "I understand society sees me as a loser." Well, if you don't think the people in question are losers, sorry for misrepr...

Yes, but how much do you want to bet Wizards is going to do away with it after fourth? The statement "There were great people here before, they had powers and culture, but they became small and live underground" is a fvcking euphamism for genocide. Every single race I have written up so far is itself a euphamism for genocide. The Wakyambi, the Sidhe, the Efreet, the Alfar -...

No worries. Too few: I'm thinking about doubling it (also, you may see that currently, level 1 spells come at 2, but that's something I'm considering changing back; so, 2 per level from 1). Crappy spells: true, there's no way to deny some are too weak to be taken. What'd you think about identifying ...

That's not actually true--they have to do spell research to get any non-core spells at all.[br][br]Honestly, if you want to get rid of all the stupid and/or broken spells, it seems like it'd be better to just do that, setting the spell list for your campaign to this (with divine casters getting, wh...
