My Favourite D&D Campaign: or why D&D is OK even though it's
I've been pretty much running D&D for 12 years now since getting a hold of my brother's old first edition manuals. In that time I've DMed probably around 8 campaigns, some of which ran for a couple months and others which lasted for the greater part of 2 years and spawned (what can best be descr...

Re: Initiative: if you go first then you went first.
You still need to be more specific as to how simultaneous actions are resolved. For example, Person A and Person B are on opposite sides of a doorway and have the same initiative. Person A declares he is attacking Person B and Person B declares that he is closing the door. What happens?

Finally got a chance to look at the poll data problem (damn radiative transfer assignment).
I just noticed that poll data on a closed poll appears inline with the text of a post, so it should be carried over with no further modification. Is there something else specific you wanted here?

As I understand it, you're proposing removing level-based BAB and AC simultaneously in favor of more emphasis on # of attacks and damage dealt?[br][br]This option certainly lets you stay on the RNG more easily. On a related matter, what's the expected damage per hit and expected # of a hit points for a PC? I ask because in the most basic sense we have
Duration of Combat = # of hit points / (expected damage per round x % chance of hit)
Duration of Combat = # of hit points / (expected damage per round x % chance of hit)

Let me know of any problems with the wiki as well... I'll try to back it up regularly so that "bad things" don't happen.
In particular, if anybody can suggest a 150 x 150 pixel image to replace the PmWiki logo in the top left, I'd be appreciative.
