Has anyone tried Warlock: Master of the Arcane?

Pretty much a Master of Magic remake with the Civ 5 graphics engine, but still some way to go (the AI can be very stupid at war).

Well I know they claim they've paid all their writers back (I got all the checks I was suppposed to). However, I can state unequivocally, that's untrue. I have yet to receive even half the books I'm owed according to my contracts (and certainly not likely to see, well, ever). Unless they hired anot...

I played in a long and pretty successful Highlander campaign set in the Roman Empire, using the True20 system. It is amazingly well suited for it, once you make a few tweaks. Conviction & The Quickening Conviction is not recovered each day. Rather, you earn one after each session (we also vote t...

Some interesting points: - Vancian magic is core, for wizards and clerics at least - 'common' and 'uncommon' classes ?? - Magic items are not part of the balanced core math and not expected - No power sources 1) I love Midnight enough to run a standard D&D campaign with the spell energy system ...

I should have included an explanation in my post... :roundnround: The Nethermancer spell is powerful, but it's more of a plot device than anything else--a classic doomsday weapon scenario. The resurrection ability and the Matrix Strike talent are beyond what a D&D Fighter is able to do. I would ...

Never played it enough, but I love this game: What kind of high level warrior like stunts can be pulled here, any sorts of super strength (like wielding a tree, 30ft-long Giant sword/BFS or throwing dragons), self-replicating jump based Fight (like the Hulk, Samurai Jack, Inuyasha, etc), hell wrestl...

And finally, what Bobby could do is what the people who wrote SoLA drafts did--either release their unedited drafts, or make sure they contact the editors. Notice how Jong-Won Kim made a point about doing that. All Bobby had to do was put out unedited drafts, and then he is not taking advantage of ...

Don't forget shipping costs. They split the overseas gaming community in two: those who can pay or bypass them, and those who will settle for a printed PDF.

In my games, the nature of technomancers is less important than whether they make other characters completely obsolete or not.

Was Magic Missile ever worth the space it took to write it in? I imagine that with the low hit point inflation in 2nd Edition it'd be useful for the first 9 or so levels when you would need something to take out an enemy at long range when weapons wouldn't do. It was useful. Wizards didn't have tha...
