Hmm. Actually, those steel bottles look pretty appealing. Definitely better than the glass and ceramic bottles I've used in the past. I might want to shop around and see if I can find anything like that locally. Or maybe just skip the hassle and mention the idea to a couple of friends, since my birthday's coming up in less than a month.

You make sure you have out more water than you plan to drink, for one.

Note though, those steel canteens get really hot in the sun and some aren't double-walled, so you really want to get a sleeve for them.
