I'm beginning to suspect most people here all had rap sheets with the WoTC moderators.

That's not a good thing.

I never got into any trouble there, but I also didn't go looking for it.

For probably the first year, most of my goal was to learn from other people, so I tended to act pretty humble.

I mean, Frank has a rap sheet for repeatedly contradicting 3.0 sage rulings, and being right about it, so much that skip through a fit.

I'm pretty sure Frank's "rap sheet" is due to him being an ass about it. We can try and pretend that there's this giant conspiracy by WotC to silence the naysayers and keep down the truth, but that's a load of crap and you know it. I fully admit the reason that I got banned from the WotC forums is because I acted like an asshole. It's not because I hate 4e or because I think the majority of posters on there are retarded shills. It's because I was a doodoo head poopie-face to the other posters.

That doesn't bother me in the least, but I'd hope that the rest of the people who have run into WizO problems are willing to admit that their issues stem from them being jerks.

Hey, I'll admit to being biased in my brief time as a WizO - the Count should have totally gotten at least an official warning and not merely a "dude chill" PM.

But I, and those WizOs who I was in contact with were painfully aware that the APPEARANCE of bias would only discredit our authority and we took pains to avoid it.

Funny thing is after Zero took over I got five warnings over the course of a couple of months. When I realized I could say and do whatever I wanted and no one could stop me, I left because I am someone who really needs to have some sort of structure. People like me are the reasons why rules even exist .

Mostly, I didn't really have any issues with the mods on WotC. I butted heads with Meg a couple of times, but in general I assumed being a WizO was a really shitty job and tried my best to be polite when speaking with them.

My rap sheet at Wizards actually has to do with other people independently deciding to start threads debating whether Skip Williams or I was right about some rule or another.

I was warned that I would have to stop making the "Skip vs. Frank" threads or I would be banned. I pointed out that I could not stop making those threads because I wasn't making those threads. Then I got banned.

There was a trumped up set of charges to give me my three warnings and a ban hammer, but they were comical. Literally the final straw was me telling Giant in the Playground "Don't try to out Frank-logic me." Seriously, that was it. Even Rich Burlew was perplexed. But it wasn't about what I said or did, it was about what I represented on that board at that time.

So really, I wasn't banned because I am a confrontational asshole. I was banned because Josh is a confrontational asshole. Although of course, I am a confrontational asshole. No doubt.

I got infractions on GITP for putting "spells that fvcking kill people" on a post, because I was circumventing the forum anti-swearing filter. Of course, when I sent a PM back saying how that was the name of an actual list of spells, I got no response and the infraction stayed in place.

Oh, and when I used "f*ck", "b*tch", and "sh*t", I didn't get hurt for anything.

Then, when some guy was hating on a concept that I liked, I kept telling him "If you don't like it, go away". I did that four times, and got the ban hammer for it.

I swear to god, those people don't even read the posts that their troll-o-meter crunches out.

I've also received a warning for daring to disagree with Stembolt, because Autumn felt the need to ban anyone who dared to disagree with her husband, even when he was obviously trolling.

I think I might have gotten warned once, but being part of the Min/Max board's groupthink kept me pretty safe. And it also helps that I can tone down my RAGE.

She threatened to ban me from BG because I kept mentioning her husband (first time was by accident, second time was because she was being a dumb berk). I honestly don't know what the hell she was thinking on that. Maybe she knew that lonely gamers would want to have sex with her, and she wanted them to think they could? Hard to tell. She sure does throw her breasts around in real life to a shameful degree.

It's pretty shameful that they let the wife of a troll be a WizO, honestly, as it very, very obviously impacted her job as a moderator.

That's not to say that all WizOs were bad - I know of at least three who moderated the chatroom who tended to actually be on the side of anyone debating honestly. Even when that person was saying something about someone they knew well.

In the thread in question, Stembolt kept saying "I proved X above, I won't repeat it." when I asked him to at least tell me what post, or link to it, or SOMETHING (hint: he made nothing but personal attacks in that thread), I got insulted by Stembolt, and warned by Autumn.

In short: Autumn is a bad person, and she didn't get fired soon enough. Not just minorly "internet level bad", but an actual *bad* person, who's willing to step on and abuse people at her job just for her own shits and giggles.
