I think this thread is a good argument that there needs to be SOME sort of gentleman's agreement about what is proper to say during an argument. Because I can see a place for violent disagreement, but is there any sort of point that making a fat joke helps? I am not aware of any.

That reminds of this book my friend checked out from the school library years ago... I think it was a national geographic publishing, and while it was mostly just facts about the planets, it had one section speculating on the alien life that could adapt to them. It was ancient as hell, but pretty cool.

My current D&D campaign (Hay guyz, remember gaming?) is based from a fantasy version of late Cretaceous era Earth, with an added bonus of a mostly populated Venus and Mars. (Venus is filled with sentient bugs, Mars is filled with tentacle monster). I wrote up a couple monsters that might live on each planet (not counting Mercury or Pluto). Never really had a whole ecosystem hashed for Uranus or Neptune, only that there was an emphasis on icey creatures that can fly permanently.

Mind Flayers lived on the planet between Mars and Jupiter, which they destroyed and are now trying to blot out the sun because if they can't have a planet, NO ONE CAN! HAR HAR HAR HAR!
