No, I meant that one Mormon would have to forgive another if he stole a non-LDS member money. It's basically church policy that if a Mormon wrongs a nonbeliever, you (as a Mormon) have to side with your fellow churchmember.Maxus wrote:No need. They haven't taken any of -my- money or work. [/edit]Ran down some of Herb Beas' posts. He doesn't strike me as Caldazar's raving fucktard tone.
Jason and Randall have completely different and distinctive "voices" than shit-for-brains here...Jason isn't that stupid or full of himself, and while Randall is that full of himself he also has corporate-speak down pat. Which brings us to the matter of Cal's PM:
I've had ass-pimples that were less annoying than Caldazar.

We have nothing to talk about. You have so far contributed nothing to this conversation except some tired lies, blameshifting, insults, and bad English. I'm not going to let you stroke your little prick by playing by your rules, and at this point there is absolutely nothing you could type that I care to read beyond "I admit I was wrong" or "I apologize to Jennifer Harding, Stephen McQuillian, and David Stansel-Garner for my unjust and unfounded accusations."Caldazar wrote: From: Caldazar

...on the fire, I would like to take this private. I am not worried about having this out in the open, but more to the point where you and I can talk without any bluster or chest thumping. Besides, all the background noise from the natives can cause the intent of a message to get lost.
I have wanted to speak with you for a long while now. However, I was cautioned, more like restricted from engaging anyone during this current situation, until recently.
I'd like to do this; however, with a caveat. This stays between us, not showed to the public. Even if you get hotter than hell at me, it stays between you and me. If you can agree with this, let me know, one way or another.
The outcome may not be that we can agree. However, what comes from this may be very beneficial for you. Why? I have been requested to speak with you about your skills and talent. No, this does not come from anyone inside CGL. Trust me that will never happen. It comes from another source.
I look forward, to hearing from you.

Ah, how convenient. It's almost like the Mormon Church was structured to reinforce and indoctrinate its members, and exclude and shaft outsiders. Almost like a mini-kingdom, if you would. The Vigilante wrote:No, I meant that one Mormon would have to forgive another if he stole a non-LDS member money. He jumps like a damned dragoon, and charges into battle fighting rather insane monsters with little more than his bare hands and rather nasty spell effects conjured up solely through knowledge and the local plantlife. He unerringly knows where his goal lies, he breathes underwater and is untroubled by space travel, seems to have no limits to his actual endurance and favors killing his enemies by driving both boots square into their skull. His agility is unmatched, and his strength legendary, able to fling about a turtle shell big enough to contain a man with enough force to barrel down a near endless path of unfortunates.

I find that particular bit pretty fucking hilarious, you can really tell he's aiming for the ol' KGB recruiter tone, but he's about as far off the mark as he can be without shooting himself right in the mouth.I have been requested to speak with you about your skills and talent. No, this does not come from anyone inside CGL. Trust me that will never happen. It comes from another source.
Scratch that. He's been painting the walls with his brains for a while now.

Queue post about how AH will regret making that public because now he will miss out on such a great opportunity. Then some really unsubtle, but trying to be subtle hints about how he will take AH down with Frank for not joining him.
EDIT: The people who wanted to recruit AH were the Mormon Church. That's also who gives zarzar all his assignments.

Has he said "Don't let our disagreements ruin our friendship" or "Despite our differences of opinion, we may still respect each other" or anything to the tune of that?

First, I have nothing to apologize for, and hell will freeze over before I do. Those three have chosen their course of action. With the exception of Steve, the other two have lied through their teeth, twisted the truth, and misrepresented the facts. However, you are too close-minded to see the truth starring you in the face should someone hand it to you.Ancient History wrote:We have nothing to talk about. Second, you just blew a chance, to get back to writing. Not that you care, I am sure, no sweat off my back. Message delivered, message rejected.
Third, Randall, Herb, Loren and a host of others would not sully their hands by coming to this message board and interact. That is why I am here.
Fourth, count on you to do the exact opposite when needed, you are as predictable as the rising tide. You cannot pass the simplest of tests.
Lastly, you can never be trusted, Bobby. You just proved it. Not by those who matter the most when it comes to bringing you in to do what you loved to do. You have some very serious deep seated issues.

You are right we have nothing to discuss. In the end, like the others who have thrown very public temper tantrums, more than likely cost you opportunities to do what you enjoy best; writing. It just did. And that’s the bottom line.

Caldazar, I think many here regard truth fairly highly. I do. Is there anything more to this than your assertion that this is so - so far without details, examples, or anything else?Caldazar wrote:Those three have chosen their course of action. So... I was totally right? Yay me. I mean, it's not exactly that impressive given what we have, but still.Kaelik wrote:Queue post about how AH will regret making that public because now he will miss out on such a great opportunity. I was going to reply to this, but first lets correct a few grammatical errors.Caldazar wrote: Fourth, count on you to do the exact opposite when needed, you are as predictable as the rising tide. You cannot pass the simplest of tests.

Ok now that that's fixed, you can always count on him, but you can never trust him. You know that 'count on' and trust are synonyms right? You're trying to say A is not A.Caldazar wrote: Fourth, I can count on you to do the exact opposite of what I ask of you when needed, you are as predictable as the rising tide. Man, I hope someday someone who doesn't like me goes to a place I don't hang out at, starts arguments and talks shit at people who know me until I show up, derides and looks down on me after I do show up, and then tries to step out of the shit storm to not very subtly offer me a job after building up my desire to tell them to fuck right off. That sounds great...

Just *how* comfortable is the magic underwear? I mean, it's ugly as sin (see what I did here?), so I'm hoping it is at least comfortable.

Hmph. Cal called me out specifically, so I'll respond:
In case you're too stupid to follow; insults are par for the course here. You seem to be particularly deserving of them, being a transparent and odious shill, and thus unsurprisingly acquire a larger share then most. All that 'oh noes, how dares you be so crude as to insult the honor of me and all my unimpeachable thieving buddies' won't fly here, though you've no doubt gathered that much already, unless you're even more vapid then I already rate you.
That said, stop flaunting your so-called 'evidence' already. Everyone here has called you on your bullshit, and you've failed to provide anything useful in response, which means that you have nothing... unless you actually provide something. Doubt that'll happen, though; you strike me as a mouthy loser who's only here to cause trouble. I'd be vaguely pleased to be proven wrong here, though; since I have no stake in this, seeing more relevant information appeals to me more then being 'right' about someone who has thus far been evidently nothing more then a troll sockpuppet.
I'd post more, but everything worth saying has been said. If nothing else, the continuation of the Internet drama continues to amuse.

What a concise and entirely appropriate response. It really is nice writing.AncientHistory wrote:Y'know, the entire reason I terminated my contracts and blew off over two grand of drafts is so I wouldn't have to do business with your particular brand of asshole. Take the hint.

The sheer, glaring and totally inappropriate hubris on display, combined with the sneering Illuminati-style hints of grandeur are together just a wonderful cocktail of suck. The anonymity and size of the internet really allows these delusional bumblers the space they need to flourish and thrive; in real life they're scheming, pathetic, tiny people... but on the internet, they can have SOURCES. UNIMPEACHABLE SOURCES.TarkisFlux wrote:Best. Job. Offer. EVAR!!!

There are people who do trust Ancient History. People who would, and as I understand it, do hire him to write things. He'll never write for Shadowrun again. Neither will I, but I made that decision in 2007. But he'll write stuff. He is currently writing stuff.
None of these assholes have any leverage on him at all. That's what contract termination does. He has a new job and has accepted that he won't be working any more for the people who kept stealing from him. While I'm certain that he's sorry that various SR ideas he had won't be getting into print (unless Jason slips them into upcoming books without attribution - again), the prospect of working for companies that pay on time and in full has got to make up for some of that.
Catalyst doesn't hold any of the cards except the Shadowrun licence until January. They don't have a record of voluntarily honoring contracts and they recently announced that they believe that they were wrong to think that people had any leverage to make them honor contracts at any time. They are not a good employer and they do not operate in good faith. If they shake their fist and say "We'll never hire you again!" that doesn't actually constitute a threat. I told them exactly that years ago. And Ancient History told them that months ago. People who operate ethical companies can and will and do still hire Ancient History. The loss here is Catalyst's, not anyone else's.

Yes, well, and of course the loss of the shadowrun community . .The loss here is Catalyst's, not anyone else's.
I doubt there are many people with his kind of knowledge and understanding of the sixth world . .
Basically, what shadowrun would need, would be something like You, Frank, and Uncle Ancient as the co devolpers . . One for the crunchy stuff and one for the flavour and setting . .
Welcome, to IronHell.

Peculiar properties of spacetime ensure that the perception of the magnitude of Soon is fluid and dependent, not on an individual's time-reference, but on spatial and cultural location. A marketer generally perceives Soon as a finite, known, yet unspeakable time-interval; to a fan, the interval appears greater, and may in fact approach the infinite, becoming Never. Once the interval has passed, however, a certain time-lensing effect seems to occur, and the time-interval becomes vanishingly small. We therefore see the strange result that the same fragment of spacetime may be observed, in quick succession, as Soon, Never, and All Too Quickly.

Hey there.
I just wanted to take a quick moment to back up Bobby on his version of events surrounding the Corruption notes. I was also present when this plotline was being pitched and I still have a copy of this Corruption document in my Google Mail box. Along with a nice, long conversation with another freelancer about how much I disliked this proposed plotline.
Saying that Jennifer Harding was a driving force behind this pitched plotline is entirely false. Jennifer Harding was still a new freelancer at the time. Simple as that. Most of the freelancers--myself included--did not want to go anywhere near this plotline. Bobby and Jennifer were the exception in simply showing interest in it and they did a lot of hard work to improve it.
I don't know who Caldazar is, but I also don't really care. I've heard bluster like his before and it has always resulted in nothing more than hot air. As far as I can tell, he is an anonymous know-nothing and he's done nothing at all here to disprove that.
