Goblins lurches from really nasty (as in topic material) to sickly sweet so fast. It's rather disconcerting sometimes.

Has Goblins gone through any real improvement in art or is it still ugly as shit?
Cuz apparently I gotta break this down for you dense motherfuckers- I'm trans feminine nonbinary. My pronouns are they/them.

I didn't think so. I've seen it once or twice, and I don't like goblins that look, literally, like sculptures of lumpy technicolour shit. I guess that's my biggest problem with it, so, whatever. My loss I suppose.

I... may need to add a quest to one of the campaigns I am running.
The statue itself contains an ungodly amount of items built into it, and contains what would appear to be the entire history of the world in which it was created. It also includes 73 images of itself, leading one to believe that either the designs engraved upon it are minutely fractal, or that where Planepacked stands the universe folds. It also most likely contains several pictures of toads, and squares, but strangely, no cheese.

Why is Resident Evil 3 the only good one of the series?
And why is it that it took this long for someone to combine the ideas of Mad Max/Fist of the North Star and the zombie apocalypse?

Hello there!! One Piece is gonna be a stupid-ass manga this year too!! ...Was that a good follow-up? So that bombshell I dropped at JUMP Festa. Worried about that [choice] after seeing I made fans cry.
A strange sensation went down my throat when I took a swig from the bottle of of tea on the edge of my desk. Mold was floating in it. I drank mold.
http://www.thegrandline.com/odatoc.htmAt a drinking party with the anime staff, all of One Piece's editors, past and present, were forced to dress up in drag. You're all disgusting.

I don't think that the artwork of Goblins is bad, just really hard to stomach if you don't like the style.Prak Anima wrote:Has Goblins gone through any real improvement in art or is it still ugly as shit?
I personally really like it. I also enjoy the art of One Piece. Take from that what you will.

ok, yeah, I was unfair, mostly my problem is one of style. I haven't looked at it long and hard enough to determine whether the artist has any technical skill.
The fact remains that the goblins look ugly and lumpy.
...to me.

Hmm... that sounds somewhat familiar...TVTropes Pirates of the Carribean wrote:# Big Book Of War: The Pirate's Code. Amusingly, the actual book itself is apparently only a few pages of actual code - the rest is discussion on what the code should be.

You'd think that people would get tired of the Standard Anime Style after 10+ years of anime being 'mainstream' among nerds. Oda's style is different and I appreciate that shit.

I liked this movie short.[about 12 min]
Warning, do not watch if you are pregnant or have just recently delivered a baby. You will cry. And then blame your husband.

It's plain ugly. I mean, I have yet to grow sick of people designing cars to be sleek (Lamborghini-style), and even if they continue for another hundred years, I won't be saying "Wow, we really need to replace that with a giant turn on wheels".
A big part of anime for me is likeable characters, which includes their art. I refuse to watch One-Piece not only because pirates are shit and it's typical shounen crap, but also because I cannot like any of the characters.
I'm okay with different art styles, as long as they're not shit. And yes, there's a fine line sometimes. Such as:
Acceptable:

Unacceptable:

Even though sometimes, the two series look as though the same artists did them, just they did Utena, then had a stroke before doing Geass.

So, ages ago I bought the first three discs of Gurren Lagann, basically deciding I didn't want to keep watching after Bro died. Spoilers, btw.
For my Birthday, some friends bought me the whole set, so last night I sat and watched it all, start to finish. And I'm glad I did. Practically every single moment of it was an awesome moment, and I don't even like fighty stuff that much, usually. But TTGL's over the top approach, and the scale of it (saying the power level is over nine thousand doesn't intrinsically mean anything. Throwing spiral galaxies like ninja stars does show an increase in magnitude when the first mecha was barely man-sized) really made it enjoyable.
And it would be nice if the real world worked like that, where just being GAR about something can get the job done, thinking only getting in the way of success.

Music is entertainment, right?
I'm really digging the video for 3OH3's song, Double Vision (I don't really care about the song one way or another, but I think the video is clever).
And for whatever reason I haven't figured out, this song {Work Safe, non-English, Upbeat} sends me into hysterical fits because my two year old can't stop dancing/head-banging/generally rampaging to it.

Dammit. I am gonna have to listen to that again. I opened up the link to Steamshovel Harry at the same time I opened up that link and had their music playing together, which actually seemed to work out kind of well, but it wasn't the same experience you were offering.Maj wrote: And for whatever reason I haven't figured out, this song {Work Safe, non-English, Upbeat} sends me into hysterical fits because my two year old can't stop dancing/head-banging/generally rampaging to it.

Fucking hell yes. That bitch needs to be taken care of, and if it shows us some of Higgs' badassness, so much better.

Aw, she's growing on me. And she doesn't seem totally evil or irredeemable so it would be a pretty big loss to lose someone who has the goods on Lucrezia.Prak_Anima wrote:http://www.girlgeniusonline.com/comic.php?date=20101020
